  1. So since I am back from gone

    - Post moderation queue has been cleaned up

    - Broken file reports have been cleaned

    - Files waiting for approval have been approved and tested

    Next to do:

    - Read and answer my pm's :o

    - Update the forum software

    - Answer my mails :o

    - Read some important posts with requests

    - Remake the logo since it has been gone since the last update

  2. Hi,

For those of you wondering where the heck I have been and why it took so long to answer private messages. Well Stan finished his study and is now officially IT Administrator, Network administrator with cisco knowledge and I am able to write huge databases in Microsoft Acces now. After this I had some –fun or not fun, depends how you look at it I guess- rest at the hospital and finished my “away period” with a nice vacation.

Now since I am 90% back, what's going to happen?

    - Well I am answering the private messages, some of you already got answer, some didn’t.

    - I am preparing a forum update to the newer software version

And there’s something I want to ask: all of you know the Emergency series are getting old and that in consequence our visitors will decrease in the coming months. Since I have two other legal Invision Power licences laying around I am currently searching one or two other games to provide a community board to.

Now my question is: What games that are released within the last two months/will get released in the coming time are worth making a community for? Post your suggestions and we might consider them.

    Regards,

    Stan

  3. - I played the game on Windows XP Home 32bit -> fine

    - I played the game on Windows XP Pro 32bit -> fine

    - I played the game on Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit -> fine

    - I played the game in Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit -> fine

Run the setup.exe manually from the disc. This is more an computer sided issue :)

  4. Downloaded it from Atari......... so I highly doubt there is a corruption. They know how the game is supposed to work, afterall, they make it. You all are the ones making the modifications. oh well.

why would the mod run for 99 of 100 downlaods and be corrupt?

placing the mod file into the mods file of the game doesnt work

    Seems quite logic...

trying to use the mod installer simply doesnt work because it does what ive stated above.

Instead of blaming mod makers you should start blaming Atari... I'll get into checking this since i more then suspect that it has EXACTLY the same issue as the download version of Emergency 3 had

Im not the only one having this issue, just read the topics here. how about making a install walk thru since you all seem to know how to do this. thanks.

    Simple:

    - Download

    - Extract to anywhere

    - Double click the e4mod file

    - Installing...

    - Done

    - Load the game

    - Click mods

    - Select the mod

    - Load

    Nothing more, nothing less

  5. It isn't working because you need a hard copy of the game.(the disc)

In the downloads section under emergency 4 patches and download the latest one and there should be a modinstaller.

Source? This is literally out of the sky...If you paid for your download it works exactly the same way as the disc version.

When exactly does the error come? When you start the mod installer or on the moment you try to install a mod?

  6. Also, apparently GTA-4 sucks on ATI cards, no matter how powerful (someone had two 6970s in CrossFire and still suffered from poor graphical performance). Haven't tested this myself, but thought I'd warn you.

I can say this ain't true no more:) I have a Sapphire HD6890 Vapor X and am happy with my graphics. But oh well if for example you've got a piracy version and are not using patch 7 you are f* indeed ;)

  7. 1) Has an *ss description and ain't complete...I go for that one if I knew the ram but wow it's not even noted on there

    2) For the same price you've got a quad from AMD

    3) Athlon II x4 is not as good as a henom II x4 -> I'd go for a Phenom instead of an Athlon

4)Doesn't even have an external graphics card... not recommended at all

To0 be honest on all 4 systems the card is quite...booo...Remember GTA 4 needs a lot. IF you have a bit of time I'll search you something out that lays around the same price :)
