  1. I am a proud disabled firefighter seriously injured while on duty fighting a garage fire when 4 tanks used for welding exploded knocking me off my feet landing on my airpack causing me severe spinal injuries. So if you guys want to pay me a visit, go ahead come on over. Hitting a person who is disabled can get you 5 or more years in prison. You would become a resident of the NY State prison system!

Well, i never knew this, and if i have offended you or brought you down to a level that you felt insulted, i apologize. They are not directed to your unfortunate situation. But like itchboy said, there are some things you have said are easily interpreted as insults towards the modification, and this not only affects our morale, it makes us reconsider if our manual labor is even worth it anymore. We want everyone to enjoy this mod equally, and rightfully, but for those who wants to taint it, i don't feel comfortable with sharing our hard work in their disobedient hands, regardless of disabilities.

However, if you don't want to do that, then fine. You can share your feelings to me, privately. The Facebook group is not your punching bag.

  2. This is probably a dumb question. But, Cant you guys just block that Scott guy?? I suppose he will just keep coming back under lots of different names. Im sure It would be extra work for you to keep blocking him. It's so unfortunate you guys have to deal with people like him. It is completely uncalled for.

No. I use guys like him as a footstool for this mod.

  3. Thank you guys   for your support,it makes dealing with the a-holes and the me me me OMG where's my toy?I'm gonna hold my breath individuals much less painful knowing that our work will reach some in the community that will enjoy and appreciate the effort and time it took.

I can only speak for myself, but Im sure a lot of people in the community feel the same way as I do. Ive been reading this thread ever since it had like what, 80 pages ? Everyday when I boot up my PC I click the bookmark of this site, and check if there is a new post, or some sweet new pics, anything. I never asked how long it would take for the mod to come out, and I will never do so in the future. Why ? Cause I respect you guys for all the hard work you have put into this. And still do to this day as I am sure. You said that you werent sure about the support of the community as this point of the development process. Neither am I. People are not patient. And people on the internet even less so.

But I can assure you, yes I can really promise you, that the people who were with this mod from the beginning, who have witnessed this develop and grow, mature and become more complex, will wait for this mod however long it will take, and they will be endlessy grateful. Just as I am. I cant make you work on it, and it is only your decision what you will do with this. Will it live ? Die ? Who knows other than you guys. Only know that youre not alone, and that not everybody is an asshole and being frustrated. Not frustration is what I feel but excitement. Pure joy from reading in this thread and looking at the screenshots.

I hope youll make decision that youre comfortable with. Doesnt matter which way youll go with this. In the end the real life always counts more.

All I know is that I will forever be grateful, and will always have deep and honest respect for your guyses journey.

    Thank you,

    Finn from Germany

This is extremely nice of you to say, it's very encouraging to hear this. Unfortunately we have a lot of members on this forum that has been verbally upset with us because of how long it has taken. For example, one member that goes by "Scott Madill" on Facebook has been harassing us on our Facebook group page for months. If you look at his comments he has made, it's people like him that delays us from releasing the mod. Why should people like him have our mod ? It's hard to make a decision like that.

But we both want to let you guys know that we will never stop making this mod, until we necessarily have to. Thank you for those who stayed with us all these years, you are the reason why we sign back on this forum and keep working on the mod.

  4. We are still on waters, but due to recent embroilment in the community, we are currently evaluating the integrity of the RCMP modification and see if we can continue with it. The foundation of the community at this point is currently going through a bit of a shake and i want to ensure that this modification will survive. We do not have anything to share with you at this time, but the team will provide updates in the upcoming weeks in regards to our progress.

  5. This is a short preview to show the current light status on both ambulances, the Advance Life Support and brand new fictional transport ambulance concept. The back of the ambulance is still under work, but as you can see in the video it has the brand new rota-beam modules. It also shows our custom whelen corrected color coronas/flares that will be part of the mod !

Thanks to Itchboy for his fantastic Whelen IONs and Pioneer models.

  6. Due to the recent embroilment in this community in regards to plagiarism, It is our responsibility to ensure you that we do not host stolen content in the "Red Watch Modification," and all credit rights are due to it's respective contributing authors involved to protect this community from litigation. If you see your content in our modification, we request that you advise us immediately so we can correct it accordingly.

And yes, we are still active. If this mod was dead, the thread would have been locked in the first place. Life is keeping the modding team busy, and I'm not going to force them to work on it. I ask the community to respect this and stop harassing us on the Facebook group page about how long we've taken. We are NOT on your payroll. Don't act entitled. If this childish antics continues on, it will create nothing but turbulence in our progress, and it might have the capacity to effectively never release this modification to the public. The ice is thinning -- you don't want to be that guy who warmed up the surface. It comes with collateral damage.

  7. Well, ultimately comparing EM4 to EM5 is a pointless ideal, EM4 at least had some support provided to make it easier, plus it was very similar to EM3 which made the process of going forth much much easier.  Em5 is a totally new beast, great for Frozen One here that he has figured out all these many tasks to make a mod for EM5.  That being said, I believe the many modders (myself not included) that wished to move onto em5 feel it is rather selfish to keep everything you've figured out along the way just to yourself.  I believe most modders would like the opportunity to throw their hat into the mix on creating their own projects, instead of just having to wait for yours to be well-established as the only game in town before they even might get some help from you.  Ultimately a community is supposed to exist to help one another out whenever possible, especially in instances for the good of the community as a whole.

Ultimately if you want to run a monopoly and be the only game in town for modding em5, that's your right but it is something you should at least consider along the way since making a full blown mod is a great deal of work and doing it solo means a very long time to do it all on your own.  It might serve you just the same to try to bring some of the people who have ambitions into the fold, or release it to the community at large, even if it costs you time in the short-term it may save you time in the long-haul if some of the things you need for your town are made by others as well.  Just food for thought, but ultimately you can do as you wish to do, and people can also agree or disagree with the choices you make, we don't try to run a collective opinion here where everyone has to agree with one another.

Goodluck to you either way with your project. Ultimately though I think the community is better served having more options available sooner for this game as opposed to having all ambitions held in the format of a single project that will be well-established prior to anyone else getting a hand to even try to head in the right direction.  To me in that situation the number of people interested in the game will just dwindle further than it already has thus far (not that it was all that popular anyway so far).  Best of luck on your project, hopefully you can find ways to do more than just visual changes and make some substantive changes along the way to bring EM5 closer to what EM4 already had.

Hit a nail on the head. You also have to consider how long the project might take -- are you doing this all by yourself ? -- and that factors in the patience of the EM4-EM5 community. I feel we will get a faster result if we have a tutorial that we all can collaborate on together and potentially provide greater discoveries than you've ever known. Do i want to wait for you to finish this mod in order to know the step by step ? Needless to say, i'm not interested. This could lead to a massive fallout in the Em5 community and most likely start dusting up on everyone's computer because of the lack of interest.

This is your dice, how are you going to roll it ?

  8. My local city police services recently purchased a few 2015 tahoes for the specialized units like K-9 or Tac team, but for general patrol officers they are driving the interceptor suvs. So it's just the matter of $$$, fuel economy, ergonomics, vehicle interior space and yada yada yada.

  9.

Though I understand why you guys would think it's nice to see some proof I'm not really comfortable with the way it's being asked because it feels a little bit like I'm forced to do so.
Let me be very clear about the fact that I'm here to build a mod, not to teach others how to do so! I'm not going to write a tutorial untill the modification is running smooth because writing a tutorial is definitly not my priority. Just be glad about the fact that I'm willing to bring out a mod. I attached some pictures of the VW Touran which was supposed to be in the Dutch Modification but it's not done yet as you can probably see. I didn't make textures for it and the polycount is a little bit high. I didn't finish it because of this new modification which more people are interested in than a Dutch one.

I'm kinda curious why people want to force me to write page after page after page as a tutorial? Again, I'm here to build a mod for everyone to enjoy, so I'm not going to spend days writing stuff down for everybody. It is more complex than it was for Emergency 4 so it would take much more time to write a tutorial. You could use the Emergency 4 way of making new cars but in my opinion they won't look really nice in EM5 because of the new engine and such.

One more thing.. People keep telling me to show proof because otherwise no one would get aboard this mod... BUT, that's not even my intention. I'm not actively looking for people to help me out. I just want to know what everybody wants to see before I create something. So I'm not looking for that a better response for people wanting to help me, quite the contrary...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not mad about this but a little bit of trust would be more than welcome.

Go ahead and count how many threads that was started by people like you with promises that never came true. Why do we need proof ? So this community knows that you're not full of crap. This community also holds talented modding teams and unfortunately we do not have much guidance on how to evolve our modding abilities into Emergency 5. Now look what the wind blew in : you.

So of course, we'll feel naturally curious and indulged to ask you if you could provide us some assistance to help us grow the emergency 5 modding. So we're not forcing you at all, we're not holding a gun to your head. We're simply asking you if you would be willing to help us through the fog since you obviously have a greater understanding at this engine than we do. I feel that you would be far more successful at providing a tutorial rather than making a american modification based on a polling vote. Keep in mind half of the community members are needy and greedy so they'll vote for anything that they want to have RIGHT now.

I'll tell you what, people won't be interested in this mod as much they will be interested in making their own mods now since they just saw proof that its possible, so they're gonna be using you. So you can either continue this mod and possibility fold, or help us out and we'll help you out. just my opinion.

Good luck with your endeavors in this community and i look forward to your future results.
