    I have a question, and I hope it isn't too off-topic -- what dictates whether the Bomberos or SAMU responds? Does the fire department only send ambulances to trauma and fire incidents and the SAMU responds to everyone else, or is it more based on which unit is closer?

    Samu clinical cases (medical and paramedical)
    Firefighters trauma cases (Stabilize the person does not increase the life)
     
    Accident victims with severe low on life support is requested of the Samu
    Also the unit that is closest you can answer the call to stabilize the victim
