  1. It's a known problem. Basically, the trucks should only start when all men are inside.

As their are volunteers, it takes some time for them to run to the house, change to their gear and get in the car.

On slow PCs they are moving slower, but the car starts, if it's full, or if the alarm siren has finished playing, whatever comes first.

On a slow PC the sound may finish before all men are aboard, the car starts... thats the problem...

But Winterberg Team is working on it ;)

I though that was a plan feature. With volunteer department in the states at least they wait for certain number of crew then leave. The min number various between vechiles and the responce type. That way at least something get on site and know if they need to call additional resource.

  2. hoppah is't possible to change the text that form the begin of a mission for 1.7?

because in some mission say it "the FBI want you" but we can now control the FBI so that is strange.

Will you change that in for example in NSA or any other higher agency? or even the goverment??

    thank you

Even though we can control the FBI it still realistic. The FBI would alert the local emergency services.

Who would put they unit on a higher alert. The FBI would not have enough people to cover the entire area themselves.

  3. ...

I know about half of those are impossible, but whatever :P.

OK Clearly you did not brother to read the first post of this thread

    Hi everyone,

Post your suggestions and ideas for the Los Angeles Mod in this thread. New topics about suggestions will be closed from now on.

One tip: Think about the suggestions you're about to post. Do research. You can't just post everything that came across your mind!

  4. LAFD gear is standard though. Helmets are color coded to denote rank, not level of medical training. White Helmets are Chief officers, Orange Helmets are Captain, Yellow Helmets are Engineer and Firefighter. Blue helmets are the only thing that is truly identifiable as Paramedic but unfortunately, these are used only by the Single Function Resource medics who have no fire training and are not allowed to partake in any fire suppression.

Jackets are the same as well regardless of rank. Same color striping and reflective gear regardless of rank or position.

The air tanks are identical as well for department commonality.

As you can see in this photo, the only way to tell these two guys are paramedics is 1) they're leaning on the ALS gear, and 2) the guy on the left is a Single Function Resource medic. If it wasn't for the gear and the blue helmet, they'd be unidentifiable as medics from the rest of the Firefighters on scene.

Ok I know this is not how it is. But what the FF dress paramedic had the paramedic log on back of the turn out gear. I know that not how it is. But to do as you suggest we have to do something to make it easy to tell in the game.

  5. There a Special doctor. Not remember what his name is. LEK or something like that. He can triage the patients. The red cross people take them to a tent. Then just dispatch a ambulance to transport them to the hospital.

The ambulance will have to make several trips or you have to call several ambulance. What I normal do is Dispatch the head doctor and red cross is I send one of the ambulance from further away. leaving the winterberg ambulance to respond to additional calls.

  6. ..

what i dont like is that u have to send two cars to a medical call. :(

That the way the EMS system works in Germany.

They just starting to get Paramedics like we have in the states. Normal the EMT ride in the ambulance and the doctor rides in special car with a driver.

This way if it minor injury not needing the doctor he is available for a more urgent call.

The US system use paramedics that call to a hospital and the doctor treats by remote. In germany the emergency doctor goes and treats victim.

In heiligenhaus where my parent company is based the EMT are part of the fire station.

I got about 8 pictures here with the Germany Ambulance. It the last 8. http://picasaweb.google.com/rolesnevich/He...manyFirestation

  7. Good idea, but I have never seen any modern LAPD or LASD transport bus/van for detainees pictures. Maybe I've missed them, but I have seen alot of older pics of the type of vehicles, but I'm only going to add modern and realistic vehicles to the mod. I don't want a big prison bus again, a van for detainees would be better.

I know some large American city use Paddy wagons.

An example of a Boston one is the second picture on this page http://www.emtbravophotos.com/PhotoHunt/111707.html

I am not sure if they using them or not in for the LAPD.

I found this on there site http://www.lapd.com/article.aspx?&a=2487

Mike do you know if LAPD or anyone in the LA area use a Paddy wagon?

  8. mikephoto - i was not only refering to police vehicles... i ment all emergency vehicles ie EMS FIRE AND POLICE.

the paranoid- in accordance to federal and state laws... the federal gov. must abide the state laws that are in place.. there for the state has more control of what goes on in that state.. the fed. gov law states that if an incident arises then the fed. gov will over power state law. called martial law issued by the president of the US. only which the fed gov may take over the state gov. laws.

The order of the law is from lowest to highest in the us

    Local, County, State, Federal.

A example of this is New York Recently passed a law for airline passenger rights. The Federal court over ruled that law stating the New York has not auhtority to make law on such a matter that airline travel falls under Federal jurisdiction.

As for FBI begin local? Not the cause the Agent in charge may be but for a big case they bring agents in from all over the place. How do I know this. Well at one point in time I was considering becoming a Special Agent of the FBI. So I did research.

  9. from my understanding by state laws... vehicles MUST have 360 degree coverage to 1. in the event of an emergency the vehicle shall be seen. 2. pedestrians and civilian vehicles distinguish the means and nature of vehicle.

these are not only unmarked.... with a light bar on top that provides 360 coverage.... so yea.

last time I check federal laws and rules over ride those of a state. IE the Federal government and it agency do not have to follow state laws.

  10. Monday is not a free day in Germany, they work all days except Sunday. Some shops even close Saturday. And then there are still the 7/7 workers.

If they have vacation on a Monday then this means there’s just a special, day

March 24 was a holiday in Germany. That was Easter Monday. I am not talking about stores anyways I was refering to company such as my parent company.

Beside which my wife even said that almost every close on Easter Monday in Germany and she would know since she German.
