  1. Precinct added to the map in the downtown area. This will be the 50th Precinct and I am planning on having on and off street parking for it (yard is on the side of it). I have also been adding green space to the north east of the map and also the reservoir to the south east. The map is slowly getting filled up! Enjoy.
  2. Here is an image of another street in the upper part of the map before it then moves into more suburban housing. I have been trying to have it so it slowly fades from the urban area to rural area with larger plots of land for houses and bigger open streets.
  3. Cheers for the comments guys! I've still got lots to do going forward. I am focusing most of my time on the map so there is at least a solid foundation to work with and then I will move onto sorting out the rest of the playable units. I am also making the map and playable units as true to scale as I can. I know we're probably used to seeing a person model bigger than the actual vehicle or building and I know some may say whats the point in bothering with it, but for me it makes the vehicles stand out and try's to replicate their size but on a smaller scale. My next work on the map will be to create a reservoir in a lower corner of the map. There are no large bodies of water near to Riverdale so I plan to base the reservoir off Jerome Park Reservoir nearby. I am hoping in the future this will enable the way for water related operations. As always please give me feedback on the images I post with the map as I want to try and make it a mix of rural and urban upper New York City. I will leave you with a screenshot showing the changes with a previous image I posted.
  4. I have been working on the map again today and have been able to expand and further develop the map. Please let me know what you think. There are somethings in the screenshot which are to be changed.

  6. Hey folks, I thought I would post this to see if there is anyone who may of potentially already made this. Has anyone or does anyone know of a KME Severe vehicle model for the game?

  11. I downloaded today a program called Razer Cortex. It boosted my game for me and I can play it without lag for most of the time. There is still some lag but it is not like how it was before i used this program. I can also play the game on ultra graphics now!
  12. I've been looking at the base game files and have come across a file called emergency_5_settings.json. I opened it an had a look at the settings. Down at the very bottom is a variable called "FpsLimitation": "60", I changed the fps limitation to 120 and on reloading the game I found the game to lag considerably less. I also noticed that my RAM usage went from using all my RAM installed which is 8GB to only using 5GB.
  13. What bothers me is that some places online where you could buy em4 didn't come with the editor. Do you think the digital version of em5 will include the editor on steam?

  17. Now I don't think this question has been asked before on the forum but I wanted to ask if other people who play or mod for EM4 if they experience a tight arm and chest from moving the mouse when playing after a while?
  18. Thats something new, never heard that done before. Do you manually draw stuff on the textures or do you use bits off images?
  19. Hi folks, I just wanted to get some advice and opinions on person textures. I have seen that the larger you make a texture for a person model the more detail is needed. Would anyone know of where you can get good textures for taking bits out of for making person textures? And what sizes do people recommend for the textures as currently I'm using 900 x 900. Thanks
  20. Sorry for no updates in a while. I've been busy with college. Anyway aside from that I have now finalized version 1.0 units. The units are: FDNY: Battalion 27 Engine 52 Ladder 52 FDNY EMS: Ambulance 551 Supervisor 941 NYPD: RMP-3425RMP-4637RMP-7250RMP-4218REP Truck-5710 *The list may be different to the final product. More news! I have worked out a way that enables a unit to be called onto the map once. The aim is for this to make it more realistic as there isn't more than one type of unit i.e there is only one engine 52 in the fdny so you can only call in one engine 52 in game.
  21. Thanks for the opinions guys. I've finally sorted out the scale. I think we all know of the scaling in EM4 and how people models can be bigger than the actual vehicle. With the scale I have used this wont happen and so far doesn't affect any aspect of the map. The new and improved scale:
  22. Sorry for not posting much. I've been busy. Anyway I have a question to ask. Below are some screenshots from the editor. There are two engines on it. One is larger in width than the other but are the same height. There are cars on to give you some reference as to how big they are. I want your opinions on which engine to use, the wider one or the shorter width one. PS. the skins are not final, they are just for experimenting with.
