  1. My feasible wishes are to have an LA County FD engine, and a private ambulance. My two wishes that would be VERY hard to do is to have a different type of ladder truck (mid-mount or tiller) and also another fire station on the E end of the map, even if it only had 1 engine. Maybe you could dedicate one of the already existing engines to just return to that station. Would that make programming easier?
  2. I can't believe my eyes. First of all, Every LACoFD medic I've ever known has loved the squads (or ALS engines). It's nice to ship a BLS Pt and be available again for the next call. That especially holds true in Willowbrook. Yeah, it's a relatively small coverage area, but it's one of the most violent, and has to be one of the highest volume of calls per capita. Now they don't even have an ER in their back door, and NOW they want to use an ALS ambulance? Also, with all my money LACoFD has, you'd think they could front the money for a new ambulance! That thing is straight from 1991. THey can afford 100 new KME predators, but they cant afford a $60k ambulance? It doesn't make sense. Thanks Mike (and whoever snapped the picture) for the mindblowing photo. I still can't believe it.
  3. LA County Sheriff does patrol work for unincorporated areas and contracted cities (alot of areas, in fact). LA County Police generally does security work. They have "patrol cars" but generally stay within the confines of their designated areas (parks, county hospitals and buildings, etc) I'm not Mike, but I think I can field this one. OES provides equipment such as fire engines to certain fire departments. It is the fire departments' duty to staff the engines and man the equipment. The only dept I was familiar wth that had an OES engine was La Habra Heights FD, and I know they did not use the OES engine except when requested to do so by the state.
  4. WHAT?!?!?!? Station 41 has AN AMBULANCE?!?!?!? Holy crap they didn't even have a fully staffed medic engine when I was there! Just a "medic assessment"! I spent my BLS years working for AMR before the big amr implosion. How does the staffing work in willowbrook? Is it just the 3-4 guys at the station, or are they up to 5-6 with the ambulance? Why can they justify an ambulance there but not in a somewhat farther away area like huntington park? Anyways I'd love to see a picture of that RA 41 (is that what they label it?). Memories....I ran some crazy calls with the 41 guys. I learned alot.
  5. In Inglewood, I sometimes saw an LAFD RA with a freightliner chassis (RA 66 maybe?). As far as LA County, their ALS are the rescue squads, and they use many different private companies for their transport (Westmed, Emergency, CARE, AMR, McCormick to name a few) all with different designs. Some have type 3 ambulances, some just the type 2 vans.
  6. Hoppah, just an idea, but since there are 3 different ambulances in your mod, can you make 1 of them with just the 2 medics for those of us who don't mind gettin the stretcher?
