grenades found in Edinburgh

Yesterday world war 2 hand grenades were found on Melville Street (just behind my mums work) after excavators discovered it Lothian and borders police and army bomb specialist (11 EOD Regiment, the Royal Logistic Corp) closed of the area and disarmed the grenades using a controlled explosion.On Monday, there had been an earlier scare when 100 live bullets were found in the garden. Yesterday, neighbours in adjoining properties were told to evacuate their homes just before 9am and office workers were asked to remain indoors until given the all-clear.
