Trouble adding vehicles to game

hi there

Been following Hoppahs adding vehicles tutorial

i have followed it EXACTLY but i cant seem to get my unit to appear ingame for some reason

is there any well know reasons for this happening?

I'm not sure what other details to give you, so if you could tell me that would help

the only one i can think of is the prototype folder.

in this folder do the sub folders have to be named fire brigade police ambulance TEC?

or can you name as you wish?

and how about for the models folder?

Does the new unit appear in the menu? I had a problem where the vehicle didn't appear in the game but in the menu it appeared

nope, i removed the other fire units from the specs files so they dont appear ingame, and so now there is nothing under fire

i tryed with them still ingame too

MAybe it is problem from the unit.xml file of the unit/s. Check if all look like the Em4's unit file (of any unit or the most similar to your unit)

If it doesn't work then i don't know

I already sent you a PM but in case that other person has this problem here is the solution:

You have to edit the traits of the car, when you are in traits you have to set the taskforce vehicle type(in the case of the pic it is police STW)

the engine now leaves the station but when it stops disappears

another thing, the model is not central on the ring that is underneath it

any ideas?

No problem

I only had the first problem

You have to edit the placement and put it in custom

With a pic is always easier to understand so here i uplaoded a pic( i don't post it here because is to much big)
