AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!

Recommended Posts

I'm playing X-Com Ufo enemy unknown with a fix (I know this isn't the problem) and in order for the colors to be right I have to exit out of windows explorer (Ctrl+Alt+Delete, processes, explorer - end process) That too is not the problem. So after advanced game play it crashes more and more often, but when I start a new game it does not crash. Any suggestions?

(Btw there is no log file that I know of)

Compatibility=Does nothing. Besides I have to shut down windows in order to play the game.

Did you try 95/98? That's what X-com games were designed for originally I believe. And from what I've gathered, you're not shutting down Windows, just explorer.exe

What fix are you using?

Try:

WIn. 95/98 (if you havn't already)

http://www.dosbox.com/ - Emulates DOS and been recommended to Vista users who want to run X-com

Turn off DirectDraw Acceleration/3D acceleration.

Buy a digital version
