just a nasty bug going around. she threw up in the little pink kidney bowles(or whatever they are called. they are shaped like a kidney) so she vommits a good 200ml of yellow emesisi in this thing and then attempts to hand it to me. I was like im sorry but your gonna have to hold that until we get to the hospital.

ill pump your chest. drop a combi-tube, and provide all around nice medical attention because im a good person. but i WILL NOT hold your vomit jar sorry.

hmm the only one I have is me and my dad were driving home from helping this guy on his farm(me and my dad are both EMTs) and as we came into this small town we saw a woman hit a man on a moped with her car. he flew up and hit the windshield. wasnt wearing a helmet. the woman was so shaken up I had to talk to 911 for her. we stayed with the guy and tried to keep C-spine straight and his airway open as he was choking on his own blood. had a massive open head wound, skull fracture, and an eye socket fracture. once the ambulance arrived I assisted the man with ventilations and stayed with him until the chopper arrived. He ended up dieing a few days later at the hospital.

recent calls. meh last night at 0200 had a nausea and vomitting call. person was throwing up everywhere. boy that was fun let me tell ya.

I know. but im going for realism. and in real life we dont sit in our vehicles at the station waiting on a call lol.

Ok so I changed the scripts to make all my ambulances spawn with 2 FF/medics instead of a stretcher and a medic. I also changed the engines so that they are paramedic assesment engines instead of ALS. all just little realism things. but my problem is. when the vehicles come back and dump off their guys and I call them back out they have the default LA mod staffing. I looked through the Lafirestation start script. and LAfire station and changed the ambulance ones and the engine ones but it still does it. I need some help lol

Anyways, country, i live in the USA and it carries. Hard to describe EMS based on the cuntry but lets see here, its pretty much either the fire department provides EMS, or a private company. In terms of country, discussion over.

Now if you want to narrow it down to say, city, in that case FD provides first in medical aid until AMR arrives for ALS and patient transfer.

Your SD has an ambulance? The only time I really remember seeing ambulances is they were once used for CSI here, and I think they still should be as theyd have far more storage room then the pos jeep Cherokees we use now.

yes they do have an ambulance service lol. They provide backup 911 to the city of New Castle and we contract our paramedic through them haha. they drive a SD ford explorer with full sheriff markings and a red/blue light bar, but with all their ALS gear in the back. they go to the scene and then once we arrive they decide whether or not to transport with us.

i know here in my county we have 3 fire tac channels. 1 EMS tac channel. and one talk around channel(itst the frequency that was used by an EMS provider here in my town in the late seventies that for some reason we still own the FCC rights to lol. so its programmed in everyones radio and we can chat on it)

we have me lol. which is southwest district ambulance service. as for the private transfer company thats the henry county sheriffs department ambulance

signal 8 means no L&S Signal 10 means run code 3 and extreme signal 10 is when the police are on scene and the pt. is circling the drain and the cops are freakin out haha

had an interesting night. I took a lady to the hospital with chest pain, diff. breathing. turned out she was jsut wanting pain meds. Then later on we got a call for an unconcious/unresponsive female. enrout PD advised us they were on scene no pulse, not breathing. we got on scene started CPR and I dropped a combi tube down her. intercepted with medics half way to the hospital. they ended up calling the code.

10 minuets? I actually had a discussion with a local FF just a few weeks ago as I was criticizing response times for a water rescue that took place. From what I was told at the scene, it took about 20 minuets to respond and they had alot of trouble getting the engine started on the rescue boat. He said EFD usually has a truck on scene in 3 minuets and AMR in 5 minuets. Now I dont know the stats on that, if that means 3 minuets 90% of the time or what not but thats the stats I was quoted.

yes 10 minutes. I live in a very rural area. our farthest out point is 15 miles from the ambulance station. so it takes a while to get some places

nope lol. she thinks she broke a rib from coughing to much. and she was just really nervous because she was getting married later that day.

the stress finally swept over her in the ambulance and she had a total breakdown just sobbing to me about how stressed she was over this and the wedding and yadda yadda yadda. I was like please driver go faster so we can get this lady outta here haha

we rarely respond with the FD. we dont need to due to the fact that we have a a ford explorer that provides rapid response with a medic on board while the ambulance gets enroute and gets to the scene. that way someone is always receiving care within 10 minutes.

meh nothing to exciting. took a woman to the hospital this morning complaining of lung pain lol.

In most places i have seen an air evac chopper is capable of transporting 1 to 2 patients depending on its size. You generally will find the pilot. flight nurse and flight medic on an air evac chopper.

had a call this morning. diabetic with a very low blood sugar. pump some sugar in him and he signed an SOR.

i had a fire in the tire building. when my FF were inside with a hose I deployed a gated wye. after the fire was over i was able to pick up the gated wye but he did not pick up the hose when he did this. I then clicked on my engine and it had lost all of its commands. the command box was empty. I had to shoot the truck and haul it off.

with an automatic fire alarm. you would most likely send your regular assortment of trucks and sometimes there might be a big fire. or a small one inside or just an accidental alrm. if its accidental then there should be a fire pull you make the FF "use" to shut down the alarm

lol the little kid jsut got kicked in the mouth and thrown out of his fire truck like in GTA hehe

ok i changed it up. time to find out if it works lol. I only do this because its more realistic. you rarely find 3 people on every ambulance.

well it works great. lol I missed an ambulance though when i changed the scripts so the 3rd truck was still in the original haha. but otherwise its fine

well im on call 7 to 7 tonight. Figures i get christmas eve eh. well see what happens.
