  1. Hi everyone, Just a quick update, We're making good progress towards V1 Release, We're working on lighting still, Shouldn't be long until that's done! Wish i could show you all some images, But i can't right at this moment.

Take it from me though, Just lighting/looking at completed vehicles... wow, Everyone involved in this mod has put in 110% in, And It's going to pay off :)

Look out for more updates soon.

    Entonox.

  2. Be thankful your conversion courses are going ahead, We've all been told we MUST complete the conversion courses, or there could be some issues around medical cover on duties, and it MUST BE COMPLETED SOON.

Best part of the above? When contacting them, The reply was "no courses this year. Sorry"

It's all starting to fall apart, There's been 4 events in a row that have cancelled on us this month alone, Because they've either found cheaper cover else where, Or decided to go it alone without cover, Because of the costs of using sJA.

On a positive note, Just taken another 5 Cadets into our division, growing rapidly on that front :)

  3. So You're looking for an entire team to make the Submod for you? (Looks that way) Goodluck with the mod, Probably a good idea to get the title changed, As it's drawing in a little hate towards you (claiming a better mod than someone else isn't the best way to get along on these forums)

  4. SJA should cover the cost of the Full uniform, shouldn't cost you a penny as a volunteer, As this is the NEW uniform for ALL Members (apart from PTA/ETA)

You should get in contact with one of your county members to find out what's going on, I know there's sometimes a delay between counties and getting updates, But surely, It's better to have the entire SJA group in the same uniform, Otherwise it just looks unprofessional imo.

  5. The exact same is happening here, Everyone is being converted to the updated stuff.

Also, Yes, SJA Top quality standards...

Yes, The jacket has epaulette holders on both sides, Along with a role holder on both sides.

The Reason we're moving to green is because with the black and whites, It's old fashioned, and potentially dangerous, As out on duties, We don't look like Medic's we're more police/security, It's shocking how many times I've witnessed abuse towards us, because we look like the police.

Also, There should *NEVER* be the problem of being mistaken for Paramedics. We're 100% covered if we stick to the rules, "Hello, My name is X I'm a *insert role here*"

As long as members use the proper introduction, There should never be a problem of mistaken identity when treating people.

Personally, I love the Green shirt.

Also, We're still identifiable as roles within SJA with the new uniform, The Role slides are much more visible (On the front of the shirt, It states your role in LARGE WRITING)

The Trousers are still black, But they're combat trousers, with St John Ambulance printed on the pockets.

I'll try and get some closer ups on the uniform tomorrow when there's more light, But I'm impressed.

Also, Hi Siemens45, Nice to meet you :)

On the Below image, on the left side, under the radio loop, Is the slide holder for your rank (It's the same on the reversed side)

  6. Got my new Service uniform

It's looking a little scruffy, As i've just got it out of the box, needs ironing and stuff, Looks very impressive,

But my phone camera is letting me down with the quality pics :P

(The Jacket is reversible, The Arm pocket on the shirt is kind of weird, It's got 3 stitched in pen holders

(Or pen torch, Whatever you use them for personally) has the flap over it that when you have any pen/torches in

    it, Doesn't close properly)

official advice, "if the transferred logo's fall off, Iron them back on"

  7. Blue Light Modding

Developers of the West Midlands Mod

Hello and thanks for taking the time to look at our thread.

We're currently recruiting extra staff members for an upcoming project for Emergency 4.

The Current positions we are recruiting are as follows:

~ 3D Modeller - Desirable skills and experience in Z modeller or 3ds max

    - Past examples of work would be beneficial to the applicant

    ~ Skinner/Texture Artist - Experience is desired

Our Texture staff are required to create accurate textures true to the real world

version. This help improve the experience of the mod.

    ~ UV Mapper

Experience is essential within this role.

    ~ Advanced Lighter

This role will involve a skilled lighter that is able to work from the real world counterparts of the

vehicles involved. We're basing all our lights on the real light patterns of the vehicles we're creating.

~ A Member to Add units into the game

    once they're complete.

this is a basic role where we need members that are able to add the finished product into the game.

The People we're looking to add to our already existing team must take pride in their work,

We ask that you work to a high standard.

The Project we're currently recruiting for is a UK Based Mod, This is all the information we're able to provide

    at this moment in time.

We already have a dedicated team of members working on our projects, But we're always looking to expand

into a larger team to get high standards of work finished for the EM4 community to enjoy.

Anyone interested in joining our team should contact either

myself or Freelancer for more information.

    Thanks.

    Blue Light Mods Team.

    stand_10.jpg

Here we have a Volkswagen T5,Vauxhall Vectra RRV, SJA Ford Defender and a Fiat Patient Transporter all on stand by outside the hospital

Please remember everything posted is a W.I.P and may change at any point between posting and the release of the mod.

We're currently working hard on a new ambulance, The Vauxhall Movano, Hopefully we'll have more info on that soon

    :)

    Thanks,

    The West Midlands Mod Team.

  9. Just want to say to you guys, Well done. There's so much in this mod to be proud of, If you just released the map alone, I'd have been blown away, But a fully working mod (I've come across the odd bug, But not game breaking) was just amazing.

Goodluck in future projects, Be them out in that strange place.. Think it's called real life? Idk, and in anything you decide to do regarding games development :)
