    Check this out. It's the two sticks with lights raising on the back. It gives advanced traffic warning to cars who can't see because of distance or if there are lots of cars in front of them

  2. Whatever bro give me whatever warning you want..............I run into burning buildings for a living, You aren't gonna hurt me. We have waited an awefully long time. for nothing...........I have been on their side for a long time, but sometimes you just have to deliver. These guys haven't. Anyone can post a couple of years worth of apparatus photos, and half truths. My young son thinks that this mod wont come out. What does that tell you guys? These guys have gotten a very wide berth because they are promising somtehing that we all want. They have delivered nothing. Ban me if you must....... But guys like Dyson and others who have actually delivered should riot. These guys have given us absolutely nothing! No games, no skins, no apparatus, nothing!

    I have been a good upstanding member of this community for a bit. You guys have a real problem here. I am just the guy who is willing to call it as I see it. Tommorrow, I will announce my new mod........I'll throw up some photos, and give you basically nothing for two years......but you will treat me as a God..............Ridiculous!............

    Somehow you are trusted to be a Firefighter... Apparently your department doesnt believe in respect, courtesy or anything of the like..... Ridiculous. I won't even take the time to go into your young son's impatience or lackof understanding the fact of how long to do a proper mod will take, it would be a fool's errand to try. I am just the guy willing to call it as I see it. Not very polite or courteous now is it?

  3. I could, but I wont. I hate to see the project go to waste, but I would just feel like I released a half ass project. The models are really the only thing holding this project back, as almost everything else done with the exception of bug fixes. I was not trying to call out any of the people who were helping, but rather just letting every one know the status of the project.

    In my opinion, I was happy to see a new map and station layout. Even if it's your units from the last submod, I'd be happy if you released it how it is now with whatever models you have (albeit if it's stable)

Just thought I would say I have been really busy lately with selling my old totaled out truck, and managed to get me a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer and I have no reason to suspect I will ever see the models in progress completed. Due to these circumstances the project may be officially dead. I am tired of getting my hopes up that I will have models to complete this project only to have my hopes fall through.

    Also, assuming it's just vehicle models, couldn't you just release with those models as the LA default?

Hey this is my First time Posting on this Fourm But I Really Like the Submod and i would like to help out with the Voices As a Dispatcher Since im a Sheriff Explorer in Real Life and i know what the Real Words Would be. Like for a Hostage Situation The Dispatcher Would Say "All Units Be Advised Bank Robbery In Progress/Hostage Situation At XYZ Bank.(The Unit that Has that Patrol Route Would be Called first) Paul 11 Your Call will be Code 3 All Other Units Your Call is Code 2 High." Thats How It is Really Said. Also The Patrol Cars Responding would Call out there Code 3 Like 3 Seconds Later or have Script That Brings up all units Avalible For the Call From Left to Right. They are Listed From Closest to Farest Away.

    While I appreciate your enthusiasm, I'm not looking for a dispatcher. I'm only looking for voices for people calling 911. I am going to need maybe 2 or 3 people to do a phone operator, but no dispatcher will be needed.

    I've been quite busy up until now and will start recording within a week. I'll be sending PM's to those that have already contacted me and are interested in doing voices. If anyone still wants to do it, I still need more voices.

    Hoppah's probably going to say the same thing, dude. The game isn't modifiable yet (if at all). Not to mention, I believe Hoppah said he was taking a break from big modding until there was a substantial development in 2012. If you'd like to enjoy the LA mod, I'd suggest you stick to EM4/911FR

  8. You obviously didn't do your research because your 3rd siren has the priority tone and the 4th siren has an electronic air horn. Any siren in California has to be under 400 cycles per minute (this means that the priority tone is actually illegal) and the LAPD does not use electronic air horns on their patrol cars.

    Based on LAFD/LAPD Videos I seen on youtube by wwwrescue911de I found the nearest sounds that I could sample/use.

    Also based on the equipment used, samples where taken from manufactures websites..

    Plus I live in England not LA so I wouldn't know such laws or facts

    Not to mention you don't have to use it if you don't want to. He thought he'd share something that he's worked on and is proud of. If it's not 'period correct', then oh well. It doesn't have to be.

    Look, a generic "HLP MEH PLZZZZZZ" is not going to get you any help. You need to state what you've done so far and what's not working. There are also plenty of instructions all over this thread about how to install it. All you need to do is use the search bar

  10. 5. If i remember and my teacher taught me well history and geography... California is on Border with Mexico....

    California IS on the border, but LA is quite a ways from that border. There are is border patrol in LA

    1. This is a game.

    2. If it is a game, you could do whatever you want..... If i want a 1000 floor building in the middle of the city i could put it that way.

    The game also has restrictions. Unless you can find a way to access the barebone code of that game and understand what to do with it, no... you cannot do ANYTHING with this game. Yes, you can bend rules. Most all of these mods have bent them in some way or another, but you can't all out BREAK them.

    3. I am not a US living person (if you read my profile, you could notice that), so i dont know who makes what on US enforcement.

    You may not live in the US, but you can use a computer... google/bing/yahoo/ask jeeves it

    And xplorer may be a little snappy sometimes, but this is one where he's actually trying to educate you without pulling any smart comments. Just take it as learning something new and move on.

    i think to answer question one, go into Specs/fp_freeplay_endless and change the "<MinDurationBetweenEvents value = "60.0" />" to a high value, to make mine more realistic so i can return everything to HQ without there being another event, i changed mine too "<MinDurationBetweenEvents value = "160.0" />",

    as for question 2, go into specs/fp_freeplay_endless once again, and find the following paragraph, which is under the <events> line,

    and it should look like this

    but if it doesnt, the thing you will probably need to cahnge is the <enabled value ="0" /> to <Enabled value = "1" />

    just read over what you wanted for question 1, as you didnt specify, if you want more events, then lower the value and that should work.

    do you have event overlap?

  12. So, two things:

    1- I was wondering if there was a value that states how many emergencies can happen at once. If so, which value needs changed?

    2- I noticed emergencies like lightning strike no longer happen. Is this a glitch or is there a value that's set to 0 somewhere?

  13. But what about civilians? I imagine some use voice 2. So you would have to check every single civilian person in the mods, and every person model in the game period to make sure only FFs use voice 2. Not hard to do just time consuming.

    Quite possibly. I'll take a look at what the civilians do, but so far I can't anyone to make the sound in the game. They just revert back to the original sounds. it's not even like there's just silence (which would be indicative of a bad bit rate or something)
