  1. As some sort of feedback i´d suggest that you´d make "parking spaces" for all the vehicles added on the map to which they can come back, just like the normal trucks in the fire station. You just put them onto the map with some staff and saved the map. In 2011 i may have said something else but in 2016 at least try to put in some effort. There are good tutorials btw. Otherwise, everything is fine. At least you tried to do something nice:)

  2. Hey guys,

I´m absolutly looking forward to this modification for emergency 4. Thank you so much for creating actual new content.

If you would need help with lighting i would offer to do so but i think that you guys are way better and don´t need helps anyways (or don´t want help from some random guy:)

Definitley appreciated! Take your time too, don´t rush!

    All the best from Germany:)

  3. This will be a mod of my hometown Stuttgart. You may know Stuttgart as a home of Porsche and Mercedes-Benz.

    It will be realistic.

I will use vehicles already existing and make new 3D Model for vehicles not existing or existing in a different version.

I will make a custom map which will be as realistic as possible but it will be combining different areas into one custom map.

New buildings for the map will also be done by me.

You can research the vehicles here:

    More details soon.

I know this is ambitious but it is a long time project i´ll do and will take its time but it surely will include everything as described.

First part will be the police department, then ambulance and then the fire dept.

It will defently take more thena year to make this but i will take that time.

Let me know what you thing and also feel free to give suggestions or tell me what you´d like to see.

  4. The original post states it's Boston based,

And talking about modding "dying", I think hassling and berating amateur modders for not having all new original content does more damage than anything.

They do it anyways. The most new people here don´t learn and do anything on their own. Thats the truth and thats why we have that much submods and that very few actual new mods. And thats why the forum is actually dying. Look at the german community and how much stuff they´ve did. You can easily find 30 3D models just for different Mercedes-Benz Trucks. Cars not included. Alot of stuff gets actually scratch made and thats why they have awesome mods there.

  5. "I've always noticed that no one seems to bother making actual, NEW, interesting mods, but rather submods that are retextures of the LA Mod or the Mayberry Mod or [insert popular mod name here] Mod. Not to say these mods are bad, some are pretty decent when it comes to textures, but what they lack is creativity. They are simply retextures, with no new features or cars or ideas or anything of that sort. There's also the occasional new city, but they usually don't have any new features..."

Before complaining about other mods first bring out a fully functional mod yourself. Otherwise you don´t have the right to complain about submods and more.

  6. First impression: Yay, another Pierce Arrow ladder reskin. This would be #9000 of them

    Second impression:

You really need to learn how to model custom apparatus and to stop relying on other's models. If you can take the time to skin this thing, you should just have as much time to learn how to model. I'd honestly go directly with trying different kinds of engines instead of sticking to the old and by this time beaten to death models.

Not a fixed tower ladder, but you get the idea. Something different is nice, especially if you're trying to recreate a real area. In your case, you are doing what appears to be a fictional locale, so I'd like to throw out a couple ideas into what you can do to set yourself apart.

    New_TRUCK_619_003.jpg

This would be the newest Pierce Quantum. No model for this truck exists (yet). If you were the first to make this, you'd definitely be in a good spot.

For the Pierce engine, at the very least, you could try using the fire truck cabs I used to have publicly. They seem to make good bases for pretty much everything.

This is a Dash from 1999, you can easilly take the cab I had out and make it into a Dash CF, or use the Arrow XT cab. KME and Seagrave are also unrepresented here, along with the Spartan MetroStar.

Your final hurdle is having to animate the ladder legs so they extend from the vehicle as such.

Quantum Cab now exists   Just needs a proper texture

  7. I don't care if get hate. He asked for OUR opinion and i gave him my opinion. He asked for it and he got a detailed answer. I also took the time and colored the things on the picture which needed some work. I never said he HAS to do it but it was a friendly recommendation, just constructive help. You can't expect me to say it is awesome and i explained what he would need to do to hear that. Itchboy is an awesome modder and one of the very few actual modders on this forum who do NEW things. If you compare the german forum with this forum you'll see that we've got alot of people actually learning skills and doing something on their own. Have a look in the downloads section and you'll see what i talk about. If i get hated or troubled response to a constructive critism then there is defently something wrong here.

  8. If they were recruited before the copyright violations were made, that does not change the fact. Also, you're lying there. The first time you were told about copyright was about two weeks ago, and we are aware that you were sending copies of the mod to people AFTER that. So if you have a mod team who is working on it, regardless of when you gave them the mod, it's not a private modification.

People aren't bitching either. The rules state that you must have permission for any content you use in a mod. You do not have permission for content in the mod. Therefore you are in violation of the rules. If you distribute the mod to any one, you're not a private mod, and therefore in violation. Your attitude about this whole thing isn't gonna cut it. You're a visitor on this site, and must adhere to the rules. There's no discussion.

You're missing the point that this isn't a discussion. You're in violation of the rules regarding fair use and copyright. These rules have been explained NUMEROUS times to you as have your options, but once more might do the trick. By sharing this modification with anyone, this mod becomes a public mod. Public mods must adhere to the fair use and copyright rules of this site. That means all content must have permission to be included. Your normal options include removing the content and gaining permission, however since you're fighting it, at least one author has stated you must remove the offending content.

Given your attitude about this issue, as well as your conduct, the staff has issued a 1 week suspension. Due to the violations of this mod, in addition to this user's behaviour, the topic will be closed immediately, and may be reopened upon the user's return, given that he is willing to follow the rules for modifications on our site.

Since NFK clearly stated this mod doesn´t just lag models but also proper credits and such, as a conclusion i won´t think about helping until you got these problems solved. Then we can talk again:D I still hope you´ll get something going because it looks quite interesting.
