  1. 911:FR comes patched to 1.3 in all versions far as I know... What you are experiencing is a bug that is caused by the fact that well, most of our computers are massively more powerful than the original game intended them to be.... So what happens is the lights end up changing so fast maybe one car gets sent through the light, then it holds them, this allows them to stack up and then they get stuck... The easiest fix for this is to edit the timing of the lights in the editor, the last number by default is 2 I believe, try setting this to 4 and it usually behaves better, you must do this to all traffic LIGHT objects. Click on a light with the left mouse button open it's properties and simply change the name of it, then press ok... Do this with every light on the map and then save the map and you should no longer have this issue.

I'm sorry but I don't think I understand, do I really need to open every map I might want to use in the editor (which I'm not sure I know how to anyway) select every traffic light through which a car might want to pass at any time and edit it's settings because my game is four(?) years old?

And why isn't this a problem in LA Mod?

  2. I was just wondering what units you all send to:

    1. Exploded Gas Pipe

    2. MVA

    3. Unknown type fire

    4. Active Shooter :sporty:

I try to keep it relatively realistic.

    1. 1 Task Force, 1 Light Force, 1 Engine, 1 Battalion, 1 RA, 2+ Patrol Cars

    2. 1 Light Force, 1+ RA, 2 Patrol Cars, +/- 1 Helimed, +/- 1 EMS Officer

    3. 1 Light Force

    4. 4 Patrol Cars, 1 RA & 1 EMS Officer to RVP.

  3. I went to a shooting somewhere in London early one morning, when we arrived CO19 had just rocked up and the RVP was being called forward to the scene. We were the first medics on scene to find the police doing CPR on this lad. He'd been shot numerous times in the back, mostly through the chest. One of the LAS paras got a tube down him while our registrar and paramedic cut thoracostomy holes under his armpits. There was no tension relief so they converted it to a Clamshell Thoracotomy. Opened him up to find his heart was empty and he'd bled out into his abdomen, presumably the descending aorta had been got, never got the PM result for that one.

  4. Are you trying to remove the paramedic from the ALS fire engine, or ambulance? Uploaded below is a "patch" that removes the single paramedic for the ambulances. It also edits the default staffing of the RAs when you call them from off map manually. Let me know if it works. The one thing I haven't tested is the police officer's command to call the RA. It's possible that a PM stretcher team and a single PM will be called. If that is the case, message me and I will fix it and re-upload it here.
Thanks but that breaks the mod; in the Mod screen the icon has changed to a green spanner and there's some german text that seems to suggest the world is going to end, then it doesn't load.
  5. For LAFD, No, in fact most medical dispatches are based on a complex EMD matrix that assigns it a category level and an algorithm based on available resources and time-on-scene to decide. To simplify it, the worst case scenarios will get the nearest fire company (Light force or Engine, with engine taking priority) and an ALS Rescue Ambulance. That is 4+2 or 6+2 on scene. Other calls might just get an 800 rescue ambulance and no additional resources, say for an extremity injury. The goal of the algorithms is to get BLS or Paramedic Assessment level care on scene as fast as possible, usually in 3 minutes or less from time of dispatch, with Paramedic care being there in 5 or less.
Are the algorithms available? Or could you apply the game incidents to them for us please?
  6. In the Uk we have this type of fire truck,it has Pods loaded on it,which canbe changed to suit the incident,im not sure, but most counties have one,and they kept in one of the Major fire stations within the county
Last I checked all counties have a couple of Prime Movers, they're provided by the government under the New Dimension plan alongside the Major Incident Units, they come with pods for USAR (1, 2, 3 & 4 with the Bobcat) and high-volume pumping units.

One the subject, what would be the LA equivalent to our Scientific Support Units and Incident Response Units?

  7. I like the highway, it certainly makes an interesting challenge but I have problems around the roadworks, if there's any drama there one of the markers (cone thingys) can fall over to block the single eastbound lane. How do I stop this or how can I move the marker. Similarly, there's debris on the westbound outside lane that stops lorries causing an unmovable traffic jam.

  8. nice car, take it you'l be having rallying matches with the other doctors on the streets? lol

Theres a doctor vehicle in the mod, but its the ford focus one, is your one any better than the focus? looks a little better.

The skoda? Haven't got to drive it.

HEMS used to have Subaru Impretza WRCs which went like shit off a shovel but they spent more time in the workshop than on the road and got replaced by the skodas. In the city anyway, speed is more about how you drive than the car itself.

  9. 3. Due to London not usually have a Mass Casualty Unit or a Police command unit, Il be looking into this further. There IS a mass casualty - ish, unit; and there IS a police command unit in london, But they are not regular vehicles, always different vehicles, very very rarely seen. The police command vehicles always vary, not always being a met, ive seen an hampshire command unit here. And ive never seen a Mass casualty vehicle here in london, so it will be hard to find.
Mass casualty units, as such, don't exist in the UK (short of a 205 bus) - LAS's response to a majax would be more along the lines of equipment tenders & C3.

  10. Yep, the record 999 Deal of 2007/08 of the mercedes-benz design with demountable box bodies. They are used for greater working spaces for both patient and doctor.
Yer, I know the Mercs (well as it happens) but the UV bodies aren't demountable, I'm confused by what you mean.
You mean the Mercedes-Benz 1224R?, Already on the list :1046275747_biggthumpup:
    Sorry, missed that. :o
  11. If we had calls where Law Enforcement had to do dynamic entry on locked doors I'd fully agree! But the only locked doors that I'm aware of come into play involves Fire/EMS responses. Forceible entry is something Firefighters do on a daily basis without the need for calling SWAT :)
Over here police would do most of the forcible entries using the mastercard, so ambos would call up to the local force to do an entry for them, rather than waking up the water faries.
