Have you tried an online converter?

Kind of an answer to your first question. If you take a look in [ModName]/Units/Vehicles/Fire_Department/[Firetruckname]/unit.xml you'll be able to edit the units that are in that specific vehicle. So you can delete the "FF_EMT" lines and whatever else is associated with that or add "FF_EMT_SCBA".
<unit id="FF_CAPTAIN"> <defaultcount value="1" /> </unit> <unit id="FF_EMT"> <defaultcount value="2" /> </unit> <unit id="FF_EMT_SCBA" /> <unit id="FF_PARAMEDIC"> <defaultcount value="1" /> </unit> <unit id="FF_PARAMEDIC_SCBA" />

Added a station up to the left. If you look at this you'll see they aren't that cramped in. For the main city departments to make it over to the rural area they have to go all the way around because of trees / mountains. I tried separating it the best I could so it could have a rural part / suburban / city part.

Go into editor and take a look at the LA mod and see how it's all setup and check for differences.

Almost finished version, if anyone has any recommendations tell me

Decided to add some university stuff. Here's cornell's ems car

Editing the thruway around, now it'll go around the airport and will turn into a highway. Remaking the dirt road hill, it'll have a hiding spot now. I'll make a video once the texture is finished / models applied. Models by itchboy, bama1234, miami mod team, nnico.
Messed around with Bama1234's new equipment, random fictional state police unit.

Mercy responding from there new station location. I put it closer to suburbia which is a bit east. Upper left is now the business district. Not all the objects are added to the map and I have to change some textures after going through it.

Sorry, I've been busy with school and such so I'll try to get a picture soon of something new I have next time I have time.
Okay this is a really great mod just that can you please put in directional lights please. Thanks
They're added already in the newer version I have. They're added to all state police vehicles, some of the deputy units, a few of the new city units and all the fire services have it. The EMS fly cars have it as well.
what program are you using to build your fire stations?
I use sketchup for all the modeling I have done for the game. I know some people frown upon that but I haven't had any problems thus far with it.

Don't worry, this is still alive. I'll probably do a new unit / map preview this weekend.
-
I'll be doing texturing for some people who need it, most likely just a few for each person. Post your picture here and a download of whatever car you want it on. I prefer itchboys vehicles or NNICOs because I like their templates. Pictures dont have to be perfect

Yeah, took 4 hours to get to work yesterday that's usually a twenty minute drive

Sorry for no updates. The map texture is completely finished. Basically just have to add objects but that process is slow because the laptop I'm working on is bad and it lags once I added a certain amount of objects. I added about 12 more police units, 10 more ambulances and 5 more fire vehicles to the mod. Still have about 10 fire vehicles to finish. Still making some new objects for the vehicles too.

Ah okay, wasn't sure if it was tied to anything in the editor. Thank you

Is there a way to remove the water supply script from mods easily?

Download here Remember, this is only the teaser, a very early version. The next version (Beta) will be all of the fire / EMS / police units + the new map. Right now most of the fire department / ems is based on Montana mod, so you may want to wait to download the beta.

In EM4, there is a limit to the number of comparisons you can make in an if statement. The exact number escapes me but I can confirm a limit exists. 23 is well beyond it though.
Simply split up your longer statements into another else-if statement.
Easy enough, thank you.

I get this error when turning on the siren, not sure why. I still have more cars to add so I hope it's not because there's too many in one place? After the fact it locks out the commands.
-
So the alpha contains all the units and everything its just missing your new map?
No, it's only a portion of the units. There isn't much of a fire department since I'm not happy enough with the progress to put them in, it will be mostly police / ems and a few different fire units. The rest will be released when the map is completed fully. The alpha is basically a teaser.
-
Take a screenshot of how they're setup? Are they connected correctly? I would look through the manual and see if you followed everything correctly.
-
Alpha should be ready tomorrow as long as no problems come up

You have to edit the streets in "Streets" mode (Shift F7), you must have it for emergency vehicles. Wherever you want them to use a street, this has to be set. The streets have to have at least one connected street (Like a three-way street or a one way in a different direction).

There's an adding vehicle tutorial here http://forum.emergency-planet.com/tutorials/article/1-emergency-4-adding-vehicles/

Follow this tutorial. http://forum.emergency-planet.com/tutorials/article/1-emergency-4-adding-vehicles/ So if you look at image 11, you'll see an edit childs button and that's where you have to use the dropdown to find the lightbar and add it.
