Hi Guys, I have the dreaded windows 8, I have installed the game, the screen is a box in the middle of the screen and when I download the mods, I open the folder and all that is within the folder is a internet explorer link. This has happened with a number of the mods! Please help!

Hi guys, I have the dredded windows 8 which I think might be causing the problem but I am not to sure. Each time I download a mod, london, new york etc. I download the file fine, but when I extract the file, all that is in the folder is a internet explorer icon with the name of the mod. I click on the link to see if it downloads and it does. Please can anyone help?
