  5. Update 2: After life happened for a bit, I've dusted off this submod and I'm working on it, and in full swing! Added State Police Started working on all other persons and two new vehicles Started working on the freeplay map (and for those who want to know, it'll have some of the neighborhoods from San Andreas, but it won't all look just like the in-game Los Santos)

  7. Hello all. Since my laptop runs Em3 way better than Em4, I play Em3 mostly now. Because of this, I've been making edits to Em3 and my favorite mod, the Notruf California mod. Part of my editing includes adding the SoSi and AutoSiren scripts from the LA Mod to the NC Mod for my own personal use. The siren script works fine, but the automatic siren script doesn't work. When I tell a vehicle to move, it doesn't start up the siren, but when I toggle the AutoSiren Off, the option to turn it back on comes up. Any reasons as to why it does this?

  10. (Used LA Mod v2.0.8 4X4) (Yay, fixed my issues with the photo feature!) 1454 hrs, 4/04/13 Deputies Allen and Taylor make a traffic stop on a white 4 door SUV for excessive speeding. Before either can react, a female snaps out of the passenger door and fires multiple shots at Taylor. Taylor is able to duck down before being hit. After firing, the SUV takes off. Allen calls it in to dispatch. Unknown to anybody, an LAPD K-9 unit was around the corner and heard the shots. Just as soon as he comes around the turn, his dispatch radios that the SUV fired shots at officers. When the two pass, the LAPD officer can't turn around in time, so the deputies speed around him. When they turn the corner, they see that the suspects crashed. One ran a few paces before giving up while the other ran down the sidewalk. When the deputies got out of their vehicle, the LAPD unit finally came around the corner, driving fast to catch up with the suspect down the street. As he approaches the deputy on foot, the deputy signals that the man has a gun. When the LAPD officer screeches to a halt next to the man, he stops, throws his gun down, and gives up to avoid having the dog called on him. The woman was charged with attempted murder of a law enforcement officer. The man was charged with illegal possession of a firearm, evading arrest, hit and run, and possession of an illegal concealed weapon (on his person, concealed, was a large knife that was too big for concealment).
  11. Hello. I'm attempting to edit the colors (and for a few icons, images) of the game's UI via Paint.NET. Whenever I finish my editing and attempt to save, it won't save. "Access is denied. Use File-> Save As... to save under a different location or name." Any idea as to why this happens every time?

  14. Whelp, after taking my exams and coming home to workworkworkworkwork, I'm finally able to start my submod's work again!

Hm, I might throw Ganton in there, maybe even a bit of Idlewood and Jefferson (depending on if somebody would like to volunteer on making the ground's skin) I'd also like to note one thing, unless I can figure out how to skin persons (last time I tried I messed up a skin for the entire game), no San Andreas character will be in the submod. If I can skin three people successfully, however, I will definitely put characters into the submod (though I'm not saying who, and they won't be obvious ) [i want to go ahead and apologize for the lack of work this past weekend, my comp containing everything is inaccessible until Thursday. I will resume work then, but for now I will answer any questions y'all might have. Also, thank you all for the feedback, positive and negative, for they tell me how I'm doing and will help the submod further in its development]
  16. Ugh, finals week starting Monday, ending Thursday EST. Won't be able to work on my submod until about 12 or 13ish hours on Thursday :(

  18. @alex: Thanks mate @cops: I assume you're talking about the lighting effects. After I finish the entire submod and have it released for some time (including stuff such as fixing bugs and adding/removing units and unit abalities), I'll work on a separate submod where the lighting is more realistic than a bar of 5 red/(blue, white, or yellow) flashing lights

So I got bored with having the editor (with LA mod loaded) open idle and playing Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, when it hit me, why not make a Los Santos submod? So I decided to reskin the models from the LA Mod to replicate the livery of San Andreas, with a bit of my own twist to it. Below you'll see the day and night pictures for all of the units added. If you have any comments, questions, concerns, ideas to better the submod, etc.: post it below. (Note: These units are not just like the vehicles from San Andreas) I do not own any of the models or logos used in this.
