  1. The K9 unit in 1.3 is a search and rescue dog. Can I myself change the scripts so that the k9 unit is similar to that of the last modified etc? 

    I am an absolute novice at scripting however; I do think it would be a small detail that would sit nicely in what is an awesome mod and I'd like to have a bash.

    You have to bring in the ambulance that essentially is a lorry. Either call it from the ambulance section on the left or use the inbuilt dispatch option.

    Warwicks and West Mercia share a lot of their resources don't they? I'm always seeing cars that have both liveries/logos put on them because of how integrated they are.

    It's a crying shame that given the increase in cars there is a dramatic decrease in traffic....odd. 

    It's pretty much a West Mercia show now. The RPU/ARV's run out of Rugby. Like most forces now they cover both duties. I follow them on twitter. Very proactive team.

    Warwickshire and West Mercia are one of the same and they do have an RPU of their own and do not subscribe to CMPG. 

    West Mids and staffs still have RPU's I believe but probably are likely supported by the lads and ladies from CMPG. Budget cuts sealed their fate...I digress. 

    Looking forward to seeing future screen shots and updates on this mod. With being from the Midlands its good too see.

    No I know that script is there...what I'm asking is would it be possible to have the police vans going into say the fire station and the bay doors close. This essentially making a van dock...

    I appreciate the scripts already in place. Just curious if that could be expanded on a little. Given the trucks return to the station and empty...could the police vehicles do the same????

    Scripting is not something I'm offay with.

    Can i ask and do you think its possible to create a working van dock using the ire station????

     

    So with this the Van would return to the station and once in the officers and prisoner(s) will decamp thus resulting in the mission been complete. 

     

    Appreciate its a long shot however; some of you guys are awesome at what you do...

  7. Personally I think the fire station by the docks should be small, otherwise there are to many things on the map

    I think its worth noting that until until we have the ability to call additional units, having whats available works or else if you had a job major incident with no units available...would be a little pointless. 

     

    Its your choice of course but i would bare the above in mind. 

  8. Very much enjoying the mod guys. Some really impressive work. The latest update to the map is great. I did have to make a minor change to the fence where the concert is, as there was an arson attack on at the building the other side of the railway. Oddly everyone ran onto the lines and got wiped out...I added some fence...having no BTP as yet, Didn't feel it would be correctly resourced ;-)

    Looking forward to the coming future updates.

  9. Sorry to come in on the convo a little after its been spoken about.

    BTP are a national force that cover as has been mentioned only the railway infustructure, BTP does have a lot of history. The armed element of BTP was brought in because of the threat like seen in the Mumbai attrosity. Currently the armed element is only present in London. Other major cities like Birmingham and Manchester would call on the assistance of the home office force in that area.

    There are around 3000 warranted officers within BTP however; given the geographical area covered I am confident you will appreciate why you don't always see officers parent at all stations.

    It's nice that the up and coming mods have included BTP. The Kent mod is an excellent example of this and sits well with all the excellent models showcased. Very much look forward to the forth coming updates. :-)

  10. I was wondering about that, because I saw it in the model folder but it isn't in-game.

    Probably still has lights/working shield/corrections to be made as Potty likes everything to be top notch. ;)

    Can't remember if its the rail van or the power van, but one of them is a traffic vehicle already, so will this be a tech unit in future?

      

    it is included in the release but I don't think the model is complete yet?

    Thanks for the prompt reply chaps. It is a really nice model. I hadn't delved too much into the files. I will take a look but am standing by for the forthcoming updates.

  11. Just to clarify the issue here before I try to solve it:

     

    You have a vehicle, we'll call Engine 1 for simplicity's sake. You have Engine 1 stationed at Station 1 as well as Station 2. Your problem lies in that the vehicle doesn't go to the proper station as you want, it will either go to Station 1 or not at all for instance. 

     

    Is this correct?

    Yes so engine 1 is at both station 1 and 2. When both are resuming from a job, they both want to go back into station 1. Thus leaving a bay free at station 2. I had a good look last night in the editor however I suspect it maybe a change to the script??

  12. Hey Peeps, 

     

    I have looked through the forum and tutorials and unless I am stupidly blind...I have not been able to find what I need. I am wanting to change a truck on mod that I am adapting. In game it would appear the same truck has been used in both fire stations resulting in a conflict when it comes to sending them back. 

     

    I therefore want to change one so that the issue is resolved. You assistance would be greatly appreciated or simply where the information is so that I can read up and resolve.

    And for those enquiring about various ‘change clothes’ options.

     

    Some, although, not all! Met and LAS personnel do have the option to wear hi-viz jackets. And while LFB fire fighters and the station manager do have the ability to change in and out of their working rigs, I have no plans to introduce multiple ‘tabard’ options.

  14. Thank you, i have been learning how to light for a while and i have been doing some work on the Kent mod but this is my first full mod light rework. :D

    Yes I have seen the progress on the mod, it looks awesome. I look forward to when it becomes playable. Having dabbled only slightly I now fully appreciate the complexity of modding. I am still trying to get my head around scripting.

  15. Hi Newfoundking, 

     

    I have had a look at the script, 2 of the vehicles are written in the script however still do not sound in game.

     

    The 3rd one is a duplicate of the original which has a working siren. The duplicate has all other working functions apart from the siren.The only difference is the re-skin work it has had done. I really don't know enough about scripting at this stage to add it in. I will carry on with my learning with the hope in the near future i will be able to correct this. 

     

    I have read through the tutorial however it didn't really help.

    I am using another mod as a base. I am very new so dabbling with mods i have before I venture on. 

     

    There are 3 vehicles without sirens and i cant seem to see where the issue lies. 

     

    Eager to progress with my learning however; this has stumped me.

    I am looking for some assistance. I have had a look around the forum for similar challenges however; i have not been able to find anything to answer my issue. 

     

    I have a mod that i'm making some changes to for personal use. some of the vehicles however do not have any working sirens. I have looked at other mods i have to see if i can find the issue but sadly my knowledge of modding is limited and i am stuck. 

     

    Could someone offer some advice as to what it may be and direct me as how to fix the issue.
