Not everyone has the time or the skills to make there own content though. I personally have tried to learn to model but I have not found anyone willing to help me learn.

I follow a guy who makes boat models and he made a model of the  kevin c kane and that is the site he said he used the most as he worked on his model.

There is also someone on flickr that has a bunch of pics but I can not open it on my work computer I will get on my phone and get you the link.

I had that issue to and what I did was delete the mod completely and I reinstalled it and it has seemed to fix it. The only issue I still get graphics wise is upside down Triangles once it gets dark by station 1and 3, But that does not bother me one bit while I am playing.

If I recall on a post the other day he made a comment and it said  "I'd not have started another mod if I was already committed to another mod/project." but yet here he is starting another project without finishing the first one he started. I am not trying to stir the pot I am just calling him out on it. I am tired of people harping against something then they go and do the same thing they were just against.

Due to recent events surrounding this LA vehicle pack, I feel that I no longer wish to release this pack. I have a big modding project coming up soon and I don't want to spoil the mod and its vehicles that I will be making. I want to preserve the uniquness of these vehicles and wish to improve the modding community by not handing out content so easilly anymore. Its about time we ended this reskin mod ********* and actually had a set of unique, tasteful and special mods. We need to go beyond repainting a car and calling it a mod.

 

The existing release is still going to be available in its current form, BUT THE RULES I SET STILL APPLY, but the new version won't be coming out.

So all because of misunderstanding with one person you are no longer going to release a pack. Yes I agree we need a new mod that isn't just reskins or vehicle changes but there are very few people who have time or the skills to make a whole mod from scratch.

See, that is the ultimate irony in it all.. People opt to do things figuring that we'd somehow be upset about it when in reality we just shake our head because ultimately the only one that is hurt when people act immature and change things trying to get attention is themselves.  When we have to go through and edit/revoke rights it does not take us any measure of time to undo what someone does, and his effort to change the signature to an inappropriate setting ultimately just hurts him in the end.  Kind of works the opposite way of what people would think when they go "hah I'll show them" and do rather childish things, just comes back to hurt them instead.

 

He closed the topics, yet did not state he closed them, a rather immature act really that only hurts himself and any fans he had out there for any of the work he did.  I cannot ultimately say it has any desired effect in doing something so rash other than just upsetting people who might've enjoyed his work he's done on these mods, but ultimately his choice to do so.  Still, it would have been better suited to state this fact instead of just doing it as he did, just a rash example of immaturity that only hurts the fans he did have on these projects. I can't really see how this is supposed to have any positive effect in any way, it more closely shows the effects of a temper tantrum, nothing more, nothing less.

Exactly and I know he will see this thread later today and hopefully he will think twice about all the work he has put into his mods and put the links and all back up once hes off his EMP vacation

LMAO how many people actually keep up with there signature. I have not had one since an admin decided to remove mine a couple years ago because it was for a clan that got closed down. I wish I knew how to do a new signature though but I can not remember where to go to do it.

I think that has to do with his signature, he likely put something in his signature that violated our policy on it, and as a funny way to ban him from changing it again a mod or an admin wrote that. I might be wrong, that just seems like what it is.

Yea I do not see mentor putting that as his signature I know him to well if an admin called him out about something he would of used bad language just to piss them off  but it does look like something an admin would put trying to be smart.

And yes he closed the topic and removed all of the download links off of both his mods. And after talking to him I do not blame him one bit for doing it.

Ok that is enough with the Boston Mod there is to many being made it is ridicules.  Basically your using my work with others models on a different map. The Boston guys are doing one too. It makes more cents if everybody put there heads together to make one good Boston Mod and not ten different versions.  Me being from Boston and doing the Boston Mod, started with J.Greenes work and I made a more advanced one but none of the maps look like Boston just some of the vehicle re-skins and personal.   So in closing contact the Boston guys I am done with it maybe you guys can make good one good luck.        

I have to agree with you on this one.

I do not believe LA mod was set up for free play but I am not 100% sure.

The main thing you need to make sure the host has control of in multiplayer for LA Mod that I have found so far. Is that the host must set up the ladder to enter second floor windows. In some mods anyone can go up that ladder once it is set up and then in some the host has to make entry. The other thing I found is if you use the fire dept crane the host has to do it other wise it does not work properly.

I am not one to play mods not set in north America but something about this mod tells me I want to play it bad when it is released.

That would be that one Spanish mod.

 

They achieved that by putting a "dummy" hydrant in the water and having the FF's connect to that. Its not actually "true" taking water from a water body.

No its was not  Spanish mod it was one of the old  PFR/ERU clan mods that was released 2-3 years ago that we did it. I would not be surprised if another mod has since done the same thing.

This is probably one of the best mods I have used. It can be very challenging and semi-realistic. I would love to see supplying water from other resources such as from the pond and even between the attack trucks and not just from the tanker. All in all, I would rate this a 10/10 because everything about it makes the game really fun. Cheers! 

I have seen a mod where they made it where you can draft out of a lake it was a pretty cool idea and it is very easy to do. I hope someone can figure out how to do engine to engine or an engine to ladder water supply

I got bored last night and I skinned the heavy tow truck in the DC paint scheme. I will upload a picture of it in a couple days after I do some minor adjustments to it.

If you want I will skin your EMS fleet just let me know

I would make a whole new map for it,  If you have a modeler who can model some of the historic buildings then go for it. If you do not I would just make it set in a DC Suburb. I also have a International ambulance you can use if you want it.

Are you playing the one that is just fire and ems or are you playing fire police and  ems. one is based off endless challenge which is saveable and the other is based off of the challenge I believe. If you are using the one based off challenge mode then it is not saveable if I remember correctly.
