  1. In actuality if more people were trained/willing to fight incipient fires with fire extinguishers quite a number of fires could be prevented.

Your very right. There was just a teen on the news in the past few weeks who was home alone and stopped a kitchen fire from burning down his whole house with an extinguisher. Same goes for sprinklers, if more buildings had sprinklers (even the older ones) many fires could be stopped more quickly without them turning into multiple alarm fires.

  2. Awesome job! That looks awesome! Will it have any functionality in game?

Answer: (From Manhattan & Brooklyn Mod FB Page)

At the scene of large fires, the Field Communications Unit assists the Incident Commander and becomes the hub of all communications needs. They constantly broadcast the status and progress of the firefighters so other units can ready themselves to respond if necessary. In game it will broadcast real life Fireground audio to enhance the realism of gameplay

  3. The la map link does not work anymore?!?

Should work. My post is at the bottom of that page, I removed the top post. As I said, this is a WIP version and I'm open to suggestions. Vehicles aren't scripted in fully, just placed and things on the map are still missing. I'll be updating a better version next week. It does have different ambulances on the map (the one next week will have more), now it only has one double ambulance.

    That link should work

  4. A question I've been meaning to ask but I got reminded by the picture in the new Dusseldorf Mod thread - why does Germany (and some other countries) give some utilities (Gas/Electric/Water) blue lights and sirens?

Although I suppose an equal question would be why don't others? :D I don't really know what I'm asking....discuss....

    The OC-D

I'm not from Germany or anything, but my guess would be that it would be to help the utilities get to emergency problems as fast as possible. I say this because I often hear FDs requesting "a push on utilities". Even a couple times with major gas leaks or live wires on a fire scene, I have heard FD chiefs request a PD escort for the utility company.

I was at a rollover a couple months ago and a wrecker came through with a Q to clear traffic though.
