like this unit. LACoFD hazmat for battalions 6 & 22
Everyone loves the sight of these during a huge brush fire

The city fire is planning to replace all the current ones (the one in 1.9) with the LaFrance which look like this this, http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2481/356865..._9e8792cd08.jpg which is a waste of money because the city refuses to put pumps on their ladders which means that an engine has to follow that ladder where ever it goes. The County puts pumps on their ladders so they can free up an engine to run calls that really don't need a ladder to go to.
Both the County and the City have put the Pierce into reserve.
I found this out because one of the stations near where I live used to have a Pierce

Good job on it and the new map most of it looks like it is in Griffith park and Schaefer Ambulance has that area until 2012 when the county and city decied what ambulance company to pick.
I like and so far I have had no problem with it
-
^this aint LA. Not even relatively close to the same state.
AMR is the same company in the entire nation
-
AMR does handle bodies if told by the police but they do not have any unit dedicated for transporting dead bodies. AMR does have 1 helicopter based in Hawaii and it is a Bell 429.
Hopes this helps.

Well I posted this awhile back. Never finished touching it up, probably tomorrow.
ShaneGreen and all of those that worked on the Vintage AMR gave me permission to use there AMR skin. It will likley have a small touch up which will put it back to a white roof as our AMRs do not have any markings on top, but otherwise it will be the same.
Ambulance wise you wont have much to choose from for transport. AMR Vintage and AMR Box Style. Sorry folks, but not every city can have 5 different types of ambulances None the less Vintage will be BLS and Box style will be ALS. In real life, AMR uses both styles for both BLS and ALS so for the games sake it was easier to split duties this way.
AMR In LA County is putting each Box as ALS and each type 2 as BLS

This CalTrans truck is only used for big brush fires when we have to close a major freeway or highway. Over all the CalTrans guys were awesome during the November fires.

Sorry

I have the FBI suv in free play. why you don't?
-
I was just wondering what units you all send to:
1. Exploded Gas Pipe
2. MVA
3. Unknown type fire
4. Active Shooter
1. 2 bls engines, LAcoFD squad for victems, 1 battalion chief anlong with 2 ambulances, 2 pd units.
2. 1 pd unit, tow truck, LAcoFD squad, 1 ambulance
3. 1 pd unit then call more units both fire an ems if needed.
4. 1 pd unit if handgun; 2 pd units, swat van 1&2, 1 FBI suv for rifle or multiple gunmen

Hi Topfuzz,
Actually, where I am from (not Los Angeles) the numbers are sequential and this helps to determine which station they are attached to. However if the general consensus is to have random numbers, then that can be arranged.
The white (BLS) ambulance remains number 802 and the vintage ambulance van is still 104. Both are included in the game, as is LAX ambulance no 51.
Take care
Shane
My dad is the safety & risk Manger for AMR Los Angeles County. And the ambulances are numbered by the year it was bought and its fleet number.
Like this 99-467
hope this helps you Shane

Can i give you pics of an AMR ambulance and some one can change the LAFD ALS ambulance to an AMR one? or do an AMR supervisor truck.
-
Hoppah now LAFD & LACOFD don't need to put men down because they bought the heavy rescue units and that how we are taught in la county now. we do not want to puut men down there or use a helicopter because it is to dangerous. If we rely need to we can stop the flow of water at several dams along the river. I hope this helps you.
good job so far !!!!!
and if you need anything about LAFD or LACOFD let me know.

I didn't think FD explorers or PD/SO explorers are tased/maced. I'm joining the explorers very soon. Ricky, I've got a lot of friends who are with LASD and LAPD. Thats cool.
mace they use because no one has died from it so far. where tazers some people have died when tazed.
-
My uncle is a captain with the los angeles county sheriff. He said when your in the field and you use mace close up you will get splash back so be careful with that stuff.
Here is a website of whats in mace. http://www.safeshow.com/pepper_spray.html
hope this helps?
In the los angeles county fire department explores we get sprayed to.
[like Taylor said] wash it out with milk and watch your jewels.
as far as tazers I have no idea
