  1. The fire spread is not that bad i play it all the time and i never have any  issues. what difficulty do you have your game set at.

It has already been incorporated the mod developer is not going to lower it anymore. people just need to learn better vehicle utilization to control the fires.

I don't have a problem putting out the fires, and I can handle it. It's just that it would be a little more realistic to see it turned down a little bit.

  2. So here's the situation..

    House Fire.

Click on the scene and I got fire coming out one of the back windows, say okay, click the fire station, pull the engine, truck and chief, click back to the scene and like half the map is on fire... Why?

I also find it kind of annoying how unrealistically the fire spreads in the game. This is my only complaint with this mod, and other than that, this mod is awesome!

  3. Hello, I love this mod and realize it still is in process of being fixed. I was wondering though why the game just crashes? None of my other mods do so I was just curious. It crashes mid game basically for no reason just shuts off with no error code or anything. Just want to know why this may be happening. Thank you

Does it basically minimize the screen and go to the desktop? If so, I have the exact same problem.

  4. And the unit layout was determined by Squad 55 staff for multiplayer games. Having 2 hazmats during large hazmat scenes is very useful. Plus 7 medics is a bit excessive :D

7 medics is not really excessive in my opinion. I could use a 7th medic a lot more than I could use two Haz-Mat companies.

  5. My current specs are:

    CPU: AMD A10-5800K
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB
    Motherboard: Gigabyte FM2-A75MA-E35
    RAM: 8GB
    SSD: Samsung Evo 840 250GB
    HDD: Samsung 2TB
    PSU: Corsair CX600W

I also have two monitors (used for browsing and other programs, but not really gaming).

My question is, what exactly should I upgrade on my PC? I know that my CPU was not a good choice to buy, and I regret getting it. Should I upgrade that, or my GPU for Emergency 4? I was thinking if I were to upgrade my CPU, it would be like an FX-8120 or somewhere in the 8000 series. But if I did that, I would also have to upgrade my motherboard. What would be best to upgrade? GPU or CPU/Motherboard? I'm willing to spend at least a few hundred on it, no exact budget or anything right now. I play Emergency 4 often with mods like Manhattan Mod, Brooklyn Mod, Mayberry Mod, Harbor City Mod, etc. The game usually lags and I'm thinking it might be my CPU causing the problem.

  6. Glad to hear it! I know it's been said before but 4.5.2 should be out soon. Due to largely to unexpected family events over the entirety of the holidays, and a few more bugs than I planned on fixing, the mod was delayed. It is currently being put through it's paces using Squad 55 as a guinea pig. I don't anticipate any issues, but after about 1 week of testing it shall be available!

Then I can finally get Blackrock Cliffs going!

Is 4.5.2 going to be small changes or are there going to be big changes?

  7. I had a house fire that had no hydrants near by and i had 2 tankers both Vollies and 2 mutial aid trucks and i ran out of water and had to go at it with fire extinguishers it was unbelievable.

You can go and have the tankers fill back up at a hydrant and then return back to the scene if you want, instead of using fire extinguishers. Or you can remove all fire calls and only have police if you want to in fp_params_endless.xml script.

  8.

    • The map is missing a spawnpoint. Fixed in patch
    • I will reduce the number of checks running in the background for the patch
    • You can turn it down yourself. Just edit the freeplay_endless.xml
    • Vehicle bugs are to be settled by bama1234
    • Will reduce fire spread in the patch
    • I haven't finished writing the call scripts for all units.
    • Spineboard glitch to be fixed soon
    • Rapid deployment is intended to work like that. I want it to be more manual instead of one click setup. You gotta close the hydrant yourself.

Thank you for all your hard work, along with bama1234! I really appreciate it, you guys have done a great job on the mod. I look forward to the patch.

  9. Great work on the mod! I have a couple issues with it. I'll list them below:

    • Rescue helicopter when called doesn't respond off the map at all
    • Gameplay like others have said is kind of jerky or laggy (I have a good gaming PC, don't get this much from other mods)
    • Too many calls at one time like others have also said
    • Lots of vehicles light's do not work
    • The BCFD tanker when called from off the map gets stuck sometimes in the hospital parking lot and just goes around in circle in the parking lot
    • Some police cars don't have wheels
    • Fires could be slower and more realistic
    • The FF in the fire station (not the battalion chief), who is used to call in off map units does not work for all the units.
    • Spineboard problem where on an accident scene, it says the person needs to be put on a spineboard. I go and get one and then place it on the patient and it doesn't show up on the patient but it is on them and says it. When you try to remove it, it won't remove from them and therefore you can't transport the patient.
    • It would help if there was more fire hydrants
    • When you click rapid deployment, it works but then when you click it again to have them remove the hoses and what not, it doesn't really work. Only two of them remove their hoses but then they just stand outside the engine and the other FF's are also just standing outside of the fire engine. Sometimes, one of the FF's didn't close the hydrant and is also just standing next to it.
    • There are a couple other issues, but they have already been posted so I won't repeat them.
  10. This is not necessarily final, but as it stands there are 2 engines and a brush truck.

The textures are 100% new. None recycled from EM4 or LA mod. Some buildings are recycled from EM4 and LA mod, but re-textured. Many building models were purchased from TurboSquid, and several are brand new made by me. 95% of all road signs are brand new, by me. Likely 50% of all other props are brand new. So in total, the map is probably about 75% brand new.

This sounds awesome! But could you please also add a tanker? It would really complete the rural type of feel.

  11. Quick update, still working on the map, it's nearing 40% completion, but things will be sped along soon as I've purchased a number of new building models from turbosquid. I'm estimating it will be 60-70% complete in a week or less. The good news is that these new building models will be very high quality and will seriously help the map look more American. The bad news is that no one else will be able to use them in their mods without buying them on turbosquid. Any questions, please ask

Great update! One question, I know you said it was going to be a while for release, but with this new news do you think it could be earlier than what you said before? I'm a huge fan of this mod and can't wait to see the new version!

  12. You'd have to have it placed using a script that disables bluelights. Check out other mods like la has lafirestationstart script. OR if you don't need special lights(spotlights, traffic bar), you can make your lights speciallights instead of bluelights.

I've done it before in the editor. I just want to make this change to the Harbor City mod where I'm just adding a vehicle to and not my own mod. Do you know how to do it in the editor?
