okay, the registry fix file he posted up earlier in the forum. YOu copy all of it. Even the windows registry editor part. COPY ALL OF IT to notepad and save it as whatever you want with the file extension .reg then open it and say yes to what it says. It should be fixed.

Also, in the same place there is a button that says disable automatic vehicle emptying or something close to that. If you do that at both of the fire stations when they rreturn they wont get out.

My computer cant open e4p files for some reason and this means i cant hardly change anything. Is there a free way to fix this or a program i can get that someone knows is trusted? Please help!

There is two tutorials that i know of on how to re-skin your vehicles. Youll need to have your em4 editor and paint.net handy to do the re-skins.(Paint.net is free)(em4 editor if you dont know how to get to it http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.php?/topic/5851-wheres-my-editor/ ) Unless you get a dds converter which just takes longer. This video should help more than just the written one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXUMY2tkcoc&feature If that video doesnt help or you cant understand it then i guess you S.O.L. Creating a submod if thats what you wanted isnt something you can just jump right into and tell someone to help you. It takes a lot of time and different scripting and some things that you probably wouldnt be able to understand becasue some of the scripts are very complex. Most people give up on their mod because they cant do something or just dont have the time or some other problem. As for the 3d modeling i dont do that yet but you need the program zmodeler2 which is also free but it is pretty complex until you understand it. Now know that some scripts are writen in plain code which is just like writing a paragraph. There are tutorials on things you can change in game by changing some things in the specs folder of your mod. I suggest before changing anything you backup your folders/files because once its screwed up if you didnt back it up then once again your S.O.L. and youll have to re-install or some other means of getting the file back. I might just do that. Im in Williamstown WV. Im right on the border with ohio. and as for the firefighters i didnt do that. I have windows 7 and it wont read the graphics right so i had to make adjustments with graphics for the game to work. Im going to try and play around with it and see what i can do. I think its the alpha reflections thats making it messed up. Im assuming the VMO file is the alpha relflections? EDIT: I tried taking out the VMO file and then loaded the editor and it still looks like what it did. I tuned of the alpha relfections and it just looked transparent with some of the yellow for the reflective stuff. Anyone help?

Just started doing texture modding for la mod. Its turning out pretty good! Now i am still only a beginner so my stuff isnt that great but heres the two vehicled ive done. i finished these in about about 2 hours. Just my hometowns fire dept that im on. And ironicly we have the same model fire engines! There is a few things here and there that i have to re-do but in all im impressed with myself. EDIT: Ive textured a few other vehicles. The picture isnt very clear but you get the idea like i said before im kinda new but i hope you like them! Suv: WV State Police Slicktop: Williamstown City Police Fire Engines: Williamstown Vol. Fire Dept. Ill be making some changes to both the Engines sliding doors to match the water tenders because it looks much better. EDIT 2:Edited the sliding compartment doors on the engines. Look good?

I wanted to make a pov for la mod just as my own litlle thing and just toy around with it. I was going to use a civil vehicle to do it. Woudl i need to take all the files first for it and put them in like the fire dedpt folder? Like put the prototype files for lets say the civil impala into the the protype file for the fire dept. And do that for all the remaining vehicle files?. And could i just add all the comands to the vehicle such as lights and and all that in the editor? or would i need to do all of this in the editor which i have tried ot do before but didnt work. I want to get into more modding things so could someone tell me what id have to do?

just copy the whole thing as is (if you havent) and do what i told you. Copy and save as whatever you want with .reg I didnt think it would work cause it wasnt the right directory but it worked for me.

wait i have the same problem. Mine is installed as 911 first responders and it comes up but on most of them it says what you got. So what do i need to do?

i just fixed mine. Its a registry key. I dont know if this is the one that you tried but it worked for me. If this doesnt work then i dont know. You can try the patch because that is what it was made for and even though it might already be in the mod you could try again just to be sure you know its there. I think the file is zipped so you'll need winrar or 7zip which is what i use.(or another upackager) and its as simple as copy and paste. But just to let you know one of the folders doesnt have anything in it so dont copy it. I dont think its the data folder. Youll have to look. And since the registry file below is for em4 change the name to Emergency3. Be sure to back up your game first just in case the regiostry file corrupts something that way youll have a backup of your game so you wont be screwed. You can just use notpad to save this with. Save the file as whatever you want but make sure at the end it says ".reg" (without the quotations)

well mine is installed with wizard works. so would it go like this? I also changed the 911 first responders part to emergency 4 and it didnt work. gave me the same message. I want this to work

I downloaded the game from amazon and i dont have the mod installer or editor. Can anyone upload filesor let me knwo where to get them please as i would love to be able to texture and model things and upload mods that require the mod installer. Please! Also the thing is i have the pdf file for the editor ont he instructions but no clue if i have the editor or wheres its at. I dont have a sixteen tons entertainment folder. So guys please help. I know that you might have a topic on this but i cant find one so...here i am. There is a lot of mods that require the mod installer and it wont work ive tried to reinstall the entire game and it didnt work. Dont say install patch 3 casue thats for em3. Anyone please help. Id like to have a lot more mods and without this its practically impossible. So please help guys! Btw the message shows this

why would you get a patch for em4 using em3 files?

Alright so im completely new at this :/ I want to get into making textures and all that. Im sure your all thinking great an newbie. Well we all have to start somewhere. Now i was planning on using gimp since photoshop costs. So can anyone help me get started or give me a guide on how to do this? Okay now im starting to get pissed(sorry for the language)...Ive done a windows update, most of adobe, gonna do a flash, direct x update, and god knows what else. Also its not the mod its the game. I completely unistalled it and then reinstalled and it did the same thing (white unit icon). If and when i get the patience ill try and download the whole game itself casue i already had the installer downloaded. (bought it from amazon btw). Also it wont load the graphics if they are set to the "high" setting and the shadows are on. Its just black but you can see some lights. Why can xp run this but freaking windows 7 cant? To me thats complete B.S. If someone can help me with this, or tell me where i could fix this please do because im starting to get irritated. I went to intel and it looked at my drivders and gave me crap about how my driver was custom or it wasnt supported. Dont know why but the only update was a wifi one. So how would i get a driver update without crashing my computer? If its even my driver. As you can see by this long post its getting to be a pest. I just want the game to run smoothly and all that. I think Win 7 should be capable of that.(or so i thought) Please just SOMEONE HELP!

It didnt give me any updates except for a wifi one. All the others were unsupported or ddint need updated or something like that.
