Hi all,

After playing multiplayer for the first time a few days ago a buddy and I were wondering about something.

Some of his PD Units glitch to where he can't see them and an event remains IN PROG. because he can't take the suspect back to the PD on the LA Mod. We're wondering if there's a way you are able to give other players your units as to where they can control them.

I do know that if a player leaves and if there are one or more players left then their units are distributed to those players.

Hope someone can shed some light on this.

I've been able to play the LA Mod on the Freeplay map with 2 of my buddies and everything has worked out perfect (except the Natural Gas Explosions, and the Illegal Demonstrations)

One of the buddies and I tried out the Borough of Fire: Brooklyn Mod(A+ for a mod that isn't complete!) and noticed that the FD Vehicles are able to return to station in multiplayer while the LAFD Vehicles on the LA Mod cannot.

Is there any way that someone could possibly make this possible for the LA Mod? It's a pain putting your Engines, and Squad in the back parking lot all the time.

It is possible, but I haven't tried it.

 

If you go into the LA mod v2.1 folder and open maps then you should be able copy the 3 files named 'freeplay.dds', 'freeplay.e4m' and 'freeplay.eft' and rename them to 'multiplayer.dds', 'multiplayer.e4m' and 'multiplayer.eft' respectively. Make sure you back up the current stuff called multiplayer and it should work. Many of the functions of 'to station' and similar won't work as they are disabled if the scripts recognise the game type as being multiplayer. Still, give it a shot and let me know if it works out for you.

 

You may need to make some edits on the map, but this should at least get you started in the right direction.

I did hear about the replacing the multiplayer.e4m but the multiplayer.eft and multiplayer.dds files never existed in the Maps folder but I did as you said. The only problem my buddy and I were having was that the map was the vanilla map and the "To Station" for FD Units BUT the Ambulances would go there

I was hoping that in editor I'd be able to fix the "To Station" problem but it doesn't seem so. Hopefully someone out there solved that and can help me out.

Anyone? I heard from a friend that the his 911FR Group, which I believe was the "NYC Group" or "Manhattan Group" was able to get their map on multiplayer which is what I want to do with the LA Freeplay Map.

Hi all,

I recently was actually able to play multiplayer the first time with my friend on LA 2.1 with Submods by Hoppah.

The only problem was that we were sent to the Vanilla MP Map which LA kinda bugs out on. I was actually hoping that there's some way to play on the Freeplay/Endless LA Map. Would you use editor or what?

Having the "mod pack is corrupted" error aswell and I'm running ModInstaller as an admin. Gonna try and reinstall EM4

Edit 10 Hours later: I had to install the LA Mod first and the US Army mod installed perfectly fine though it seems to be alot harder to beat some missions than from what I remember

I've installed EM4 again, and I would like to download LA Mod V2.1 by Hoppah, and the US Army Mod V0.6 by Hoppah.

Everytime I click Agree & Download and go to the files I click download and they darken out. It continues to try and load the download but no dice. What is this cause of this?

PROBLEM SOLVED!

Can't upload picture. Not working

I get to atleast 16% downloading and I get a COMPONENT TRANSFER ERROR. It involves some files and I don't understand why I'm getting it now, as in the past I was able to install without issues.

I've tried restarting the installer, changed directories but nothing

Last one is found past the village in the left corner of map. Near the left bottom there is a road leading out of the map. Theres a small area surrounded by mounds of the hill and theres like 2 Scraps of wood. Pull 'em off and you'll find the bar

That's part of a newer version of the Army Mod which has not been released yet.

The only way to upgrade vehicles (right now) is to research things in the tec tree like the LRAD.

I modded my LA Freeplay map when I first got the LA mod installed. I added Law Enforcement vehicles to the LAPD Station and I've tried to uninstall EM4 and LA Mod but no dice.

I would like to get the original freeplay map back and I've tried replacing the map files aswell but I see get the modded map. Is there any way I can delete saved progress aswell? I still have saved games and points from freeplay games

I've recently gotten Emergency 4, really good at it except when I get overloaded with missions on freeplay. I was hoping theres 3 people who are out there on this forums who can get on EST Time to play.

Listed below are the Mods required to play with me, I can get a TS3 Server started.

Load up your mod in the editor - see that box on the left of the screen. Go to Vehicles>>LAPD>> and find the vehicle(s) in question. Now click on the vehicle's name, and then click the 'Edit'button which appears at the right hand side of the box. Then in the window that loads, select 'Edit Traits', and then change the number of passengers allowed. Simples, I think

If this doesn't work, try going in Windows Explorer to Mod/Units, and then navigate to the vehicle you want to try and fix. Open that in Notepad, and try changing the loadspace value. If this doesn't work or you get stuck, reply/PM me

That's because the vehicle prototype itself does not have a listed seat count. You have to change the unit's traits. Otherwise, it's useless

I have recently started modding/Re-Making the Freeplay map for LA Mod, and I decided to put down Law Enforcement vehicles. I had gotten LA Mod 2.5 Freeplay map w/ vehicles already spawned and was experincing trouble with a few vehicles not able to have any thing done with them(Personel couldnt get inside etc..)

So what I did was spawned the vehicles in editor, spawned personel for them and loaded the map. Everything was looking good, I was putting the personel in the vehicles and... IT FAILED I attempted to put personel in the Unmarked Crown Victoria, LASD Cruiser, Prisoner Transporter, and the Port Police.

What it looks like is, you select the personel and go to the vehicle and instead of a enter car/Get in icon you get the traffic cone icon. And if you click the car itself, it doesnt have any seating. (Ex: 2 seats for cops, 2 seats for criminals.) None of that Its blank and you can only send it to HQ if I'm right.

I can't figure out how to fix this, so hopefully you amazing modders, experts or Scriping Experts can help me out here
