  1. I'm assuming you mean LCPD:FR mod? That's not their thing... They make no money off of it

That's what he was talking about, I was confused about that.

I can guarantee 99% right now, you will never see any modern packs for LA Noire unless they release it for PC, then people will be making mods in no time. I have a feeling it will be releasable for PC though. Pretty much all of Rockstar's games have been released for PC, even though there was a delay between the console release and PC release. But then again, Red Dead Redemption was never released for PC, so I don't know.

  2. Sorry for bringing this old thread up again, but I felt it was unnecessary to make a new topic.

I've download the demo of 911CAD thanks to your link, I enjoyed it quite alot but the trial time has expired and I'm not going to pay 499$ for a full version. I've already played Ludwigsburg Leitstellen simulator. You can play it here:

    http://lstsim.de/ (It's german!)

So my question: Can anyone give me a link to a good dispatching software/browsergame or something similar?

    Thanks in advance!

Wouldn't you just be able to uninstall 911CAD when the trial is up, then reinstall it and get another trial period?

  3. I don't think any player mods will be made, since the game appears to only be for Xbox 360 and PS3 right now, but maybe if enough people nag Rockstar games they'll release a Crown Vic package with the game or something, like in halo ODST, they released the general as a person that you could play.

I doubt it. If they did that they would have to completely redo the game. A modern Crown Vic in 1947 LA wouldn't look good, it would stick out like a sore thumb.

  4. [off topic removed by staff]

About the high rises, I'll be interested in seeing how they turn out too. You can see in the first post they have pictures of high-rises, and I'm guessing you will only be able to see certain floors, (Similar to how it's done in Sims 3 Late Night if you are familiar with that game. But we'll find out soon enough.

  5. They sound familiar, never heard their music though, I'll have to check them out.

By the way. I made a forum too, it's one of those free forums that I was bored and felt like making one night. It's got 3 members including me, I'm socal000, the other 2 are my friends. Join if you want. I'm looking for 1 Moderator. Don't ask me to be a moderator, I only need 1, and it's going to be somebody I know and can trust (most likely form this forum if they choose to join), anyway, here it is. Join if you want, make posts, try to have fun.

  6. I'm assuming that because there LAST reply was something like January 1st 2011. I know people have lives, but they should post something like "Going away for a while" or "The mod is being put on hold".

Well maybe it's not being put on hold, or maybe they're not going away. Maybe they just don't want to show us anything or they don't have anything new to show. Modding isn't their life, it's a hobby they do in their spare time if they feel like it.

Anyway, Even after about 2 months I never noticed the bus lol, looks great,, looking forward to it. I also really like the EMS pictures on the first page. The new equipment looks great.

  7. You should do it. Learn to model or UV-Map or something and start it up, and see if you can get help. Yes, it is a very popular film, especially in this community, but nobody will make it just because somebody says "Hey a Ladder 49 mod would be cool".

But seriously, learn to do something for modding, and start it up. Being able to model or UV map or script is also a really productive and useful skill to have, depending on a career or college you choose, it could also look good on your application.

  8. The FDNY calls them Halligan hooks, they've been branded NY Hooks by manufactures, ETC, to sell more so in the interest of realism I would say leave it Halligan hook.

With all this extra stuff being added to the mod (i.e. mdt, pump panels, dispatch screen), will having a second computer monitor be helpful for the mod or not really?

I'm going to guess it wouldn't be. If you think about it, all of these pop-outs will be for each separate company, so you wouldn't be able to leave them open all in one screen if you had to go tell another truck what to do.

  9. Can we please NOT bring up the topic of how long this is taking? The length discussion never ends well. Just deal with it and be patient.

Anyway, I like the update. I had a question about the pump panel. Obviously this will be explained in the tutorials and manual, but would you be willing to share what the pump panel does when we open it? Do we get different hose, or start/shut off water flow, or what? I'd assume it doesn't require the knowledge of a trained firefighter to use it. lol

  10. Aside from having nothing to show, I took a look at this website, and I think you are taking something so small with nothing to show way too seriously.

    1. I really don't think you need an application form

    2. Don't expect people to give you their real name or email address.

    3. You ask how long they can work on the mod daily. I hope you know that modding isn't a job, it's a hobby. There is a very good chance that people don't work on a mod everyday because people have lives. Modding is way at the bottom of the list of things to do with a lot ahead of it, whether it be a social life, school, work, or whatever.

I'm not trying to flame on your mod, I support any mod, I just think you are taking it too seriously, and are expecting way too much out of it, when you don't even have anything to show, and as far as we know you have no modding skills.

  11. You should try to learn to model. It will take time, and takes a lot of trial & error, but it's worth it. And most modelers are busy working on something else right now. Also, I'm not sure how many people will give you skype IDs and messenger ids and all of that.

Anyway, check out this modeling tutorial:

    Zmodeler 2: 3D-Modeling (click)

P.S. Welcome to the forum, and any future help requests should be in the "[EN] Modding and Mod Help" section ;)

  12. I could do four stations. 2 from each side. That would be LAFD Stations 60 and 89 / LACoFD stations 8 and 51. How does that sound to everyone?

There will not be old units, I will use the ones they have right now or get as close as possible. I think someone else is making a Emergency! mod for em4.

I think 4 is overkill to be honest. I like the idea of LACoFD station 51, but why do you need a huge one if you already have 1 other county one, and another big LAFD one?

Just keep the LAFD stations, then put Station 51 in the corner by the hospital.

  13. I guess it is a response vehicle for mass-respiratory emergencies, like if there was a gas or something that say 10+ people inhaled, or something like that. I don't think that specific vehicle will be in the mod, but there may be a similar one as a mass-casualty.

(And for the sig, you need to put %7Boption%7D at the beginning and end of each line)
