  1. Still German only I'm afraid. The problem is that many of the buttons in-game are pictures. What that means is that a simple edit of the .lang files doesn't translate everything.

And the images are locked, so you cant go in and edit them either.

Quite sad really, especially due to the fact that it is such a good mod. But I don't have the patience to play it, due to the fact it is in German.

  2. Nice to see some really good idea's Well I can say that St.Johns Ambulance are planned to be in the mod. However

regarding the PCSO's I'm not sure yet me and the team shall have to discuss this.Anyway please keep these great

    idea's coming! :)

Yayyy ! St John Ambulance :DDD I think PCSO's would be nice. We could use them to help out with traffic/cordons.

  3. Well done theocd! Good work :)

(Thanks for your Thanks :D) I am still not 100% sure what the role of an ETA is.......

I would imagine that SJA in London is quite busy?!?!?

Emergency Transport Attendant, Resuming in very few words: Ambulance Driver (Blues & two's) and a more advanced skill level.

I haven't been with SJA for long. but it's quite busy. Unfortunately, is slowing down a bit due to the weather and etc... :D

  4. Uniform: As soon as they have stock of your sizes, you should get it. This means you might not get it for a while or you'll get bits and pieces for it slowly. ID: The ID Card is linked to your DBS Check and will most likely be sent to the home address registered on that form. Occasionally batches will be sent to units. Once again, there may be regional variation so Entonox could have some different experiences! - The OC-D

If you're a cadet, you'll be given a leaflet in which will advise you on buying your own uniform, as this is the way most divisions are going.

If you're an adult, you'll more than likely have your sizes taken (You tell them your sizes) once you've attended a few meetings, you'll have one ordered for you. (Some places charge, some don't)

As for your ID, it is linked with the DBS check and you'll either get it in the post, or you'll get it through the division (DS should give you it if so)

I have received the DBS Certificated by post, it arrived around a week and half ago. So does the ID comes few days later or I should expect to receive it from the DS.

& Another question :P. My induction will be during the 13th and 14th of July at SJA Croydon HQ, so how long do you guys reckon that would taken from induction -> Move to Local Unit -> Uniform -> First duty. What should I expect to be doing during my first duty? How was your first duty?

I Just received an email with a Radio Level 1 - Radio Operator pdf. Do we get radio trained during induction? I thought we had to get training with radios by our local unit.

    I'm an Adult Entonox :)

Thanks, both of you guys, I'm quite (a lot) excited, that's why I'm bombing you guys with questions :prop:

  5. Smart casual, you don't need to suit up, but look presentable :) Also, there's no such thing as a stupid question.

Also, the Cadet SDU uniform (basically normal SDU) has a problem, you can't order a "cadet" role bar, so just be aware of that and if you haven't got one, highlight it to your unit manager. (alternatively, if you did get one, let me know where from :P )

    Another question :P haha

I had the interview and had the DBS check and etc, and now I just got invited to the induction, so what happens during the induction, besides the training and etc, I mean, do we do uniform fitting? and what about the SJA ID, as I had my picture taken already, do we get it during the induction or later when we move on to our Local unit? And is it the same for the uniform?

    Thanks dear ;):D

  6. Once you've done the initial induction course, which involves an introduction to what SJA is, our brand, where they will enforce it's "St John Ambulance" not "St Johns Ambulance" and then you'll do your trainee first aid bits.

After you've done this (usually a day course over a weekend) you can go on duty right away (once you've got a uniform) but your role will be a Trainee First Aider, so will be assisting other First Aiders (don't let them pile the paperwork on you)

After that, no doubt you'll be on the next available First Aid course which will enable you to go on duty as a Full F/A

Enjoy sja, it's a new family and stick out the tough times, it's well worth it.

    Thank you! :)

I'll do my best not to be their "paperwork boy" hahahaha.

So do you get the uniform during the initial induction course? & Are we allowed take it home and if so, can you get dressed at home and make your way to your local division or do you have to get dressed there?.

Sorry for bombing you with all the questions, is just that, I'm so excited, I can't control it... :P

  7. If you're joining the organisation, and not currently a member, you'll be interviewed and asked some general information, why you want to join, what you want to gain from SJA and some basic info about yourself, nothing really major. Will be worth looking into what SJA as an organisation do other than just First Aid, so some basic background info that can be found on the website.

If accepted into the organisation you will be required to provide information for the new CRB check (criminal disclosure check thingy) and should receive a welcome letter and info for your division and an induction course.

Once you've joined as a member, you will be put through a trainee First aider (TFA) course, which will give you the basics of first aid. (enough to attend duties, but working under first aiders)

It's then up to your division to provide further training to prep for a First Aider course then you will be put on for your Full F/A course.

You no longer go straight from joining > First aider anymore due to the changes within SJA. Also, well done on getting to an interview stage, you've got in just in time as recruitment is about to be put on hold.

If you're already a member, i can't see why you'd be interviewed for your First Aid.

Thank you for your explanation, and no, I'm not a member.

They already asked me to do a DBS (CBR) check online.

How long does it take from the start of the training until you are allowed on duties?

    I can't wait for the interview :P.
