The game only crashes when I am in the editor(havent tested the game), and try to load the 02 LA Fire Department prototypes. Now I tried replacing the entire prototype folder with known, working prototypes, and it still does a CTD. I tried replacing the USCG prototype, which has never been edited, with another since it is the last one loaded, and it still fails. Of course my drivers are up to date so I havet posted a dxdiag. Heres the log file

Any chance it could be w00ds maps causing the crash?

It's actually quite an easy mission. The only problem I have is I can't find the terrorists. I've placed marksmen and i've searched everywhere. Where is the terrorist or terrorist house and how many terrorists are there?

the terrorists are in the house near the fallen tree with the victim underneath. There is a black SUV standing outside the house near the police baricades.

Downloaded 911 First Responder, and at first everything worked fine, then maybe 5-6 minutes into the game the graphics all became exploded and the screen had that "shattered" effect. Then the game wouldn't even start, I get that black screen, then crash.

Downloaded 2010 Drivers for ATI Radeon X1 series Version 10.2, still nothing.

DXDiag shows you installed a 2009 graphices driver...

But in order to see what is wrong we are gonna need a logfile. It's located in the main EM4 folder.

I'm sorry about the approximation. I've been having serious problems trying to load the story. I'm working on a different pc and I can't upload the latest G.A.S to continue. Story is to be put on hold until i can start working on the story again. I'm very sorry.

But I haven't winterberg mod and this installer for updating flowing version to last is useless.

Just google 'download winterberg mod'. I even thought we have e very early version in our download centre somewhere.

Please help me on mission 12(Train hit a tourist bus) where i have to rescue around 13 people. but still something i missed i cant find anything else any walkthrough ??

There are two or three people in the water when the mission starts, you'll need to rescue them using a motor boat before they fall of the waterfall or else the mission won't end. Also you will have to cut open the train wreck balancing on the bridge before it plunges into the water. Then there is a train cariage on the bottom of the river near the opposite bank. Also there is a very poorly visible victim trapped under debris near the bus (use the SAR dog if you can't find him). Some cariages can be cut open on more then one place, you will also need to keep that in account.

Which mission number is this?

I thought it was mission 9 or 11.

Hello guys, I run the Emergency 4 so when Intro ends my game crash.

I play in a laptop.

The game can't seem tio find the video called take2.mpg

See if you can localise it in the data/video folder and see if you are able to play the video using WMP.

If you can't find the video, reinstall the game and check again.

Same issue with Checksum errors here, any help?

It's not the name of the files that needs to match, it's the content of the file.

e.g. if you changed the multiplayer map to the standard freeplay map (by renaming it), your friend will need to do the same. Best wat to make sure both games contain exactly the same content is simply copiing the files from one PC to another and then try again.

What exactly is the problem with the mouse? the last few words aren't translated. Can you please describe the problem more detailed and try not to use an online translator, but a dictionary in stead.

They all download fine but when it comes to installing them. I get a error message saing it could not install them and i should delete the readme file some thing like that then another error saying this file did not download propperly, i had nothing running when downloading the mods files and still confused on what to do ?

Did you unzip/unrar the mods using winzip/winrar before installing them?

Do you install the mods by double clicking the .exe file or by using the modinstaller to load the mod?

Do you have a folder called Mods in the main Em4 folder (if not create one)?

Have you tried loading the mod via the desktop icon you can create with the installer?

Can you upload a logfile of a failed loading attempt?

In the first post it is clearly stated this will only work with v1.9 (even in the first sentence). The title already says v2.01 pending, what more info do people need to understand it isn't meant for LA MOD 2.0?

People should take the time to read a topic first before asking questions that were answered a million times already. We know it is undoable to read all 18 pages, but really: reading the first and last few posts of a topic isn't that much to ask?

Can someone put it down step by step for emergency 3, i am trying to do it but it aint working so i would like someone to put it step-by-step please.

1: Download the LA MOD by clicking this link.

2: save the file in the Emergency3\mods folder

3: right click the file and choose the option extract here or unzipp here

3A: If you do not see one of these two options you probably do not have Winzipp or winrar installed. In that case you can download and install winrar from rarlabs.com

4: now double click the file ending on .e3mod. The ModInstaller will start and will auto install the mod.

4A: if the modinstaller doesn't start check to see if you have the modinstaller (start --> programs --> [publisher] --> Emergency 3 --> Modinstaller)

4B: if you have the ModInstaller, start it and browse to the .e3mod file. Press install to install it.

4C: if you do not have the ModInstaller download and install patch 1.3 from our download center.

5: Start the game and choose the 'modifications' option in the main menu.

6: choose the LA MOD 2.5 and click load.

Logfile and DXDIAG file please, else we cannot help you.

That is what I have been doing. Some drivers take longer to crash then others but they all still crash.

Are you sure the problem isn't with your anti-virus software/firewall? Try playing the game with those disabled (don't leave your internet connection open when you disable your anti-virus and/or firewall!!!).

People I need help with Mission 5 on Campaige mode. Please I will not be able to move on further without a walkthrough of some sort.

I think you didn't install them properly, because the game is still running on the microsoft drivers.

Maybe you can try to delete the microsoft graphic drivers and reinstall the ATI drivers.

Did you add the correct mission numbers to your unti.xml files so that you can call the vehicles in freeplay and the normal game?

how can i make buildings from zmodeler2? i am trying to make the white house and the capital buildings for the d.c. mod and have little modding experience.

There is a Z-modeler Tutorial for creating cars. Creating buildings is pretty much the same, only you will have to use more polygons. That's why many people design buildings in sketchup and use Z-modeler to convert them to a workable format the game recognizes (see the FAQ on how to do that).

You cannot install the LA MOD with the Modinstaller. It has it's own installer. Just unzipp the mod using winrar or winzip and double click the .exe file to start the installation of the mod.

Is there a fix out for the la mod lagging during single play, if i deploy a few units it lags hard. and yes i blow the system req out of the water my computer is far from the issue. Thanks

The message is "You only have to give status 4th" what does that mean?

It means you have to press 4 on the microphone thingy that appears when you select a car.

What is the cheat code for the internal computer to get more credits?

I forgot but I know its got something to do with the password of the computer itself.

I assume you mean adding new events to freeply? It is possible but it will have to be scripted.

You can however make 'new' existing events in the editor fairly easy (e.g. add new accidents to the map, or place new fire points, etc.)

Are you sure the logfile or the EM4 folders aren't set to read only (right click on file --> propreties)?

You could aslo try and download a logfile with text from one of the other CTD topics and replace your empty logfile by one of those.
