I used to watch this some years ago when it was first shown on the TV. I really liked it as it was the first emergency related series I ever watched before watching the masterpiece called Third Watch . When I first saw it I didn't know a lot about real FDNY so it seemed realistic to me.

Most governments are hostages of banks and they can't do anything else besides firing people and cutting money from these departments. You can only hope to a massive world political system change but that's way too utopian. You should mention the salaries, educational and healthcare system cuttings. If you ask me these are the most important things.

just to let you know. even if I wasn't Greek and we hadn't screwed up our economy( credits to Germans and Americans for helping us screw it. no offense to any of you guys) I would still say the same things. Being in Greece at these times is giving me the chance to realise what really happens and what will happen to this world.
