A white model means that the skin file isn't correctly linked to the model.Check all the model files and make sure they're named exactly as the skin file.

Make sure that, upon modifying the model file, you have (a) skin(s) selected to be used on the vehicle. Also, make sure the vehicle is UV Mapped.

I have im trying to use NNico crown vic and i have never had this problem until now. Thatks for your help do you have anymore tips it looks like i have unpacked the skin

When i put a new unit in game then i go to the editor to put the unit together. My skin is not showing up and all i see is is a all white car??? I there any that can help me???

R.I.P to all the little angels that were killed today. I dont understand what makes someone want to go and kill a bunch of kids who cant defend themsleves. Just think as the parent's of the kids go home tonight the have to walk in to their homes and ssee their kids room empty and see the present that were bought for them for Christmas that they will never see. I bet those parents are have a hard time right now and all my hearts and prayers will go out to the families effect by this monster of a man. I think in the USA you have the right to bare arms but nobody needs anything other than a hand gun to defend their homes.

How to unlock a skin in LA Modification?

- First of all determine the file you need to modify (.dds)

- Now rename the "filename.dds" to "filename.v3o"

- Open the editor"and select unpack

- Search for your "filename.v3o and unpack it

- Go back to the directory where your "filename.v3o" is located and rename "filename.v3o" to "filename.dds"

That's it now you can open the .dds file!

I tried that when i unpack the LAPD officer then i go back and change it to dds. Gimp says it is a invalid dds image do you know how to fix this

I have a question how do you unlock a person skin. I need to know how so i can reskin the LAPD officers to different LASD Officers some with jackets other ones in gang unit vests.

UPDATE- Working on this mod will start again today November 27, 2012. Tonight or early tomorrow all of the Los Angeles County Sheriff cars will br skined and ready for lights so be ready for alot of updates.

the first thing i could imagine would be that the model might be too small, did you import it from sketchup and didn't resize yet?

and try the perspective view too!! i think there is a 3d and a perspective view, might appear there.

you could also check the menu on the left top of the 3d box/window, where you can change the view etc. play around with that if you haven't done that yet

I am making the model from blueprints and it will show in perspective but not 3d
