  1. The LAFD has 8 divers on duty each shift and they are assigned to the Fire Boats at the Port of Los Angeles. Boats 1, 3 and 5 have 2 on board each shift, and Boats 2 and 4 have one each if memory serves me correctly. It's a completely separate qualification and skill rating then the USAR and SWR guys.

    Well, that must get boring, since there aren't a lot of boat calls, right?

  2. I have a question what is the equipment a police officer Caries with him on himself.

    Depends on the country..

    A typical police officer, dependent on duties may carry various equipment on their duty belt, to assist them in performing their duties.

    The equipment carried typically includes some or all of the following (varies from country to country):

    * Helmet/flat cap

    * Handgun

    * Spare ammunition

    * body armor

    * Radio or communications equipment and PDA.

    * night stick/truncheon/baton.

    * Restraints: handcuffs or Plasticuffs

    * Notebook for recording incident information, taking down statements, etc

    * Pencil or pen

    * pepper spray, PAVA Spray or CS gas

    * sidearm and tasers (in jurisdictions/countries where police are armed)

    * Badge, Warrant card, or ID

    * Evidence bags

    * Flashlights

    * Hi-visibility jacket or vest (doubles as a waterproof garment)

    * latex gloves

  3. Hoopah,

    Since we have a USAR Truck, how about considering a mission where something like a large building or bridge has collapsed and the USAR guys have to shore it up and locate the survivors? It could be the result of the earthquake that already occurs on the free play :) You could even have the adjacent buildings on fire to make it really challenging.

    Zac

    It's not that I'm saying the idea isn't nice, it's just missions take a lot of time to do and he is currently working on 3 or 4 missions plus the other work for 1.7
