It's all down to personal choice and what actually looks best/most photo-realistic. I know sometimes adding alpha reflections make the people/vehicles have a horrible white tinge to them. 

 

Post some photos up with alpha on and off.

well the personel itself looks awesome with alpha reflections, the cars not i will add photos asap 

so the cars: 

-day

-night

and the personel 

-emergency day+night

-police day+night

-fire department day+night

and the ambient 

on the right he is ambient, he looks ok but he is to bright in the night

Hey all I have few questions to all of you and I would like to know your opinions 

1. recently I managed to put alpha reflections to the personel and I am thinking about vehicles, what is your opinion abou alpha on vehicles? 

2. should I make personel ambient and what is it good for?

If you would be interested I can put photos to show  

the personel is really large in em 4 you have to decide if you will keep cars the way em 4 uses them but then people will look large or you can scale them correctly but the cars would be really large

It's very easy to find out in paint.net with preview part on tab. I did tutorial on adding those 5 years ago, and nobody ever used it. As it say you need theDxTex Program. I'll leave a link to it, use google translate if interested.

 

If it will work your way, try DXT3 and 5.

 

P.S. Remember that using alpha reflections results in sacrificing transparency of the skin.

You can see mikey's skodas with czech livery in front of them there is unmarked trafic sedan, T5 is NICCO's and skin is from Bastian's police package and childs are by CJ, civil cars are from ccc and personel skins are done by me 

Those are some ofthe prettiest European skins I have ever seen. Well done on Mike for the base model, and you for the adaptation into your local police.

So there are going to be new units or skins? I tought there would be just performance maintenance:)

I think more updated vehicles like nicco's T5 or else would be great also new black politie uniforms would be nice, also versions with bulletproof vests would make all sceenes look better but that just my opinion

The EMS supervisor use bit different font of the "A" letter on the side of their car, because it is almost the only marking on the vehicle, I would suggest you to look more deeper into the font type
