In future versions how are you going to update the hoses? Its kind of funny to see hose packs in a NYC mod

I keep getting invisible structure fires. I get toned out, it shows the location very quickly and then hides the location.. I get 2 engines to the spot where I hear the fire coming from yet I see no visible smoke or fire.. I reinstalled twice.

Personally I think structure fires should last longer than a few minutes.. The longest structure fire I had was 5 minutes and that only happened 1 time.

Is there a specific pc you can suggest (under$800)

Build you're own - you can save quite a few bucks doing this.

If you use one engine, or preffarably the tanker (DLK), to feed another, the engine supplying won't run out of water. Or at least it didn't, don't know if the update changed that.

No the update has not effected that yet - but it should. A very sweet update would have to be CAFS, with the correct ratio of air/foam it makes for quick knock-downs especially when you don't have a water or very little.

Yes for major working fires most fire departments have cascade trucks on-scene to refill the SCBA bottles. Normally the firefighter hands them the empty bottle and grabs a full spare off their engine/ladder/etc to use. I hope that answers your question

I was curious as to what apparatus would be doing that in this mod.

I did not mean that they literally bring another cylinder with them - I meant do they go to a special truck to refill the cylinder using a cascade system or do they just get a new pack.

I have a question about SCBA: When you're firefighter runs out of air in the cylinder, can you go to a truck to get it refilled or will they just replace the cylinder/pack?

I was just fighting a giant forest fire with: 1 tanker, 2 engines. I had a fire line in place and working and than it crashed suddenly...

I also got a out of control fire in the middle of the map.. A House fire which spread to all the wood land at the back.. all the way to the end of the tree's.. I had over 15 burnt cars... All LHF's were at this.. was crazy! Had to let it burn.. Was spreading so quick!

I had that happen, I tried to make a fireline(cutting 2 rows of trees ahead of the fire) and failed.. I restarted the game.

I Like it I think after the windows like you said are leveled it looks great! Will you have fire trucks like brush trucks or Arson cars spawn in the Reserved Spaces on the side? like these, or are you just going to park civil cars?

The reserved spots(More will be added) are for the firefighters personal vehicles. Its going to be a small station based like how my department operates(first come who is certified to drive truck gets it, unless they are out ranked) and how many firefighters respond to call. I am working on the Models with sketch and than going to port them to more 'mature' model editors for detail and eye candy.

I like the FMC model, a town north of me has one and are still using it... In-fact they used it at a structure fire a few months back during the tanker shuttle.

Since it's a Mission Script-based mod, you can't do that. I know you can change the frequency of the events and the start itme of the game, but not the events themselves.

I know that the bay windows are slightly off leveled, but what do you expect for it being my first 3D model.. This is not a real station, one that I pictured in my head and did the work. Any suggestions or comments would be highly appreciated.

EDIT: Here is some drastic changes in the building and the surrounding area, I think it looks 100% better.

This mod is fantastic but I will be more happy if I have more fires in freeplay...

You can edit the XML files to have that happen.

i haven't ready every page of this thread but i'm sure if there will be highrise fires and you can be on multiple levels instead of like the sims they have highrises but other then the floor theres only like one level but... i'm sure they have a way if this situation is possible and i doubt there gonna tell you until it comes out cause they want alot of this to be a surprise

Since the highrise packs where added - Thats pretty much saying there will be, at-least to a extent.

Excellent mod, I check daily to see if its out yet. I have a question, since there will be weather is there going to be a thawing unit for frozen lines?

Does anyone else have a issue putting tire fires out? I had one line stretched and attacking it for 5 minutes before it was out.

Hi, for some reason I can't run Emergency 4 in windowed mode.. when I try, my computer freezes, blacks out and then the video drivers crash with an "infinite loop error" regarding ati2dvag. I can run newer games (which are far more demanding) just fine, and fullscreen works too.

I tried to find solutions on the Internet, but all I found were outdated solutions for AGP cards.

The reason I want to run it in windowed mode is because my monitor uses an aspect ratio of 16:9. Emergency 4 does not support this, and if I try to force it to using the config file, the display is stretched from certain angles, because it's still trying to display it at 4:3, just stretched across a 16:9 screen.. So instead, I'd like to just run it in windowed mode at the highest supported resolution.

Also, alt+tabbing from my game in fullscreen causes a big graphics glitch, so I have to kill Firefox and restart it if I want to use it

I don't know if it's heat, since the extremely clever manufacturers seem to have forgot to put a temperature sensor in it ¬¬ it shouldn't be though, since I can play all my newer games (Arma II, Battlefield Bad Company 2 etc) at highest settings for ages without a crash.

It would not be heat if you can play more demanding games without this happening.

You don't need to worry about the directX drivers, you have the latest version of directX.
