So I just got my brand new computer in today. I downloaded 911 first responders from atari and tried to play it without modding anything yet. All it shows is the road lines, and the stuff on the sides like map and bringing out truck buttons, etc. The rest is a black screen.

I have tried downloading this game from amazon and atari. neither game worked. so i tried downloading emergency 3 from amazon and gamersgate and they both worked but i cant mod either of them. where is the game where i can download the full game and get the la mod and stuff to work right?

where is the installer? i downloaded the game from gamersgate and i have xp.

i just downloaded the emergency 3 game from gamersgate. I want the la mod but it doesnt have the installer. i have windows xp. what all do i need to do?

Where can I download Emergency 3 where im able to download the mods for it and everything works right? I have already downloaded the game from amazon but I can't download mods or anything. The game works good and all but I want the mods. Ive looked into my programs and the game is not under wizard works but its under amazon games. Can someone help me?

i have bought this game twice. Once from amazon and once from atari. neither one worked for my computer.

ive started having a lot of stupid problems. first off, what is the deal when you tell a police officer to go get a criminal and they sit there with their lights on and dont move? second, why does the damn fire spread so fast on some calls? for example one of my calls started as an electrical fire then no more than 1 minute later, the whole bottom half of the map was on fire. (not very realistic). third why does it lag so much? fourth, why does the map look like it has diamond shadows all over it every now and then? fifth, why dont fire trucks respond after you click them to go somewhere sometimes? this freakin bugs the crap out of me

sometimes it seems kinda laggy. after i go to the menu and back, its real laggy. is there anyway to fix this?

Well this is what I'd suggest..

1. Learn how to use one of these... photoshop/blender/3dsmax/zmodeler (I don't mean learn how to mod with them just use them) e.g. I learnt how to use photoshop during school (taught myself to improve my school work haha)

2. Then begin basic editing, for example using your new skills in photoshop to make small texture edits. This allows you to master import export of the games files.

3.Then learn your way around the editor using this to allow you to edit further.

4. Begin or join a modding project, this will submerge youu in people with other skills and may spread to you.

Don't forget to ask plenty of questions along the way, because people like me will spend the 10 mins to give you a reasonably good answer. I know that's what I did and now I'm running a modding team, you just need commitment and common sense.

what is going on in free play? i will be playing fine then all of a sudden, i bunch of diamond shaped shadows appear. the only way to get them to go away is to turn off my computer and start all over. it is really annoying. anyone else having this problem or know a way to fix this?

well i was just wondering if its possible for me to set a time so that i can set up patrols and get everything ready before the first call ou. Because at the moment hardley have any time to set thngs up the way i'd like them to be.

Sometimes in free play, I will press the mouse button to rotate the camera, and the there will be like diamond shaped shadows everywhere. I cant just restart the game because that wont fix it. I normally have to turn off my computer and turn it back on. Then it takes a really long time for the game to load every time I turn on the computer again. any suggestions on how to fix this?

I downloaded the dispatch sound where you can make your own calls, but I dont know how or where or what to install it on. The same goes for the updated sirens for the LA Mod.

I saw something on here called dispatch template. that said you could make your own calls. I tried to download it and it wouldn't do anything. is there a way to do this?

you can start it with 911fr. if you installed the la mod correctly it should have asked you if you wanted to make a desktop shortcut. after that i have no idea. sorry

THANKS FOR THE HELP MAN! it all works now. I think i didnt delete the old all the way. i did it again and everything shows up! it even runs a little smoother to! you da man!

the 911 fr game itself needs NO updates. uninstall it, EVERYTHING. install 911 fr and then install la mod 2.0 with the two updates and run it, see what you get.

I redownloaded everything. the ladder truck still shows up white along with the transfer truck vehicle, some of the buildings are grayed out and some are even transparent. all the fire fighters, police, and emts are grayed out. did I do something wrong? am I supposed to start it with 911 first responders, or can i just create a desktop icon and go from there? thats what ive been doing. that was a good idea though. you got anymore? does anyone else know what I could try?
