  1. WOW all very good ideas. Some using negligence force. But all fun. What I do is, Block off the roads, I call in the swat teams, the scout, and the negotiator. the scout does his thing, and the negotiator does his thing. while they are doing their part, I have two swat members take a flash each. and stage them on the out side on each corner of the building. i have three swat ready to gain entry. After the hostage taker, makes his demands, the two flash are thrown, and the entry team enters. normally timed pretty well, they arrest everyone that are now dancin, and all taken away. no loss of life and no clean up ;)

  2. Just out of curiosity does anyone use the LAX units.

I know I've seen the flip side of both coins as far as game play goes, and authentic set ups. Some people don't like parking units, some send them on patrol, some people send a ladder and a engine to a fire, some people send more. So, LAX units just don't seem to have a purpose, yeah you can use them on missions but they just seem weird in free play.

However, with that said though does anyone use them, and why. For fun, because they look cool, etc?

I use the port police in the port area, and i have the crash tender staged in the port area as well. It doesn't bother me to loose the LAX vehicles, unless there is an airport in the missions. Also I use the army in the power plant since it is a high security site.

  3. I have 2 "gun teams" staged one near the bank and the other one around the dealership. Here in Toronto, we have patrolling teams, called gun teams. used mainly for quick response until the rest of the equipment arrives. With the request for swat, i sent the closest gun team, then dispatch the swat trucks and command post. FBI i call off from the map.

  4. whats the difference between deputy chief and district chief? is the deputy chief the guy 1 lower than BC, and district would be stationed at a firehouse?

Hello, the difference between the district chief and deputy chief is the the deputy is higher in rank, one below the chief. the district chief is only for the district (area) that they are in control of.

    I hope this helps :)

  5. Hello all, I'm getting lots of good ideas. The way I run my city is quite bare compared to the rest of you guys.

I have 4 LAPD cruisers patrolling. Out of the 4, 1 is a slick top which acts as my Sargent.( sorry I like having a boss around lol) another cruiser acts as my traffic unit, so they are in vests and responds to all traffic collisions and vehicle fires. (as well as all other calls) These selected units are "hotkeyed" 3 for the supervisor and 4 for the traffic unit.

I do not use the chief as a dispatcher since technically thats what we are. However my BC is "hotkeyed" 1. I keep the LCFD light rescue at the main stn and hot keyed as 2.

I have the ambulances patrol and the EMS supervisor kept at the large stn. I have a light boat in the water with a diver. ( cause I hate watching the diver take his sweet azz time walking to an entry point. lol)

I have two CHP cruisers at each end of the road along the tracks, and the power plant. I have two LAPP around the port area and the crash tender staged in that area. I have one FBI suv staged by the bank with LAPD swat (2). I have the Ford Explorer with LAPD SWAT (2) staged near the Dealership. I use them for QRF (Quick Reaction Force) and will be on Sean to secure till the rest of the SWAT team arrives. I have one works van (techie) staged at the gas stn, and another one staged near the dealership.

I hoep this explains what I do. I am using the old map for now till I can get the mod map working.

    Enjoy :)
