Hello! Let me announce my first ever mod for Emergency 4:
HONOLULU MOD
Honolulu MOD has been canceled due to my military service.

I've now (18th of may) made a public release for the demo.
I am not completely sure that this is a good thing, because this is still very much not a complete product. Consider yourself warned!
My intentions with this release is to show off what I have been doing for the last months and to get feedback on it. Keep in mind that this is my first mod and I have been working with the trial-and-error method so there are most likely loads of stupid mistakes all over it.
I still intend to release the full version later on. Including all the required units and a better map.

This is a mod based on Honolulu, Hawaii. I think Honolulu is a beautiful place and the emergency vehicles look totally badass! This mod is based on LaMod but I'll try to make this as much as possible my own mod, I aim on replacing every vehicle and the map from LaMod. I started working on this mod last month (January 2013) and I've spent around 50hrs on it already.
As I see it now there'll be two releases. Version 1 will be a light version of the mod with only a few new units. The idea with two releases is that the first release will be released quite soon as a teaser/demo kinda thingy. And then, later, there will be the "real" release with the whole mod.
The location of the mod is a free interpretation on Waialae, or the south shore of Oahu. A freeplaymap is in progress and it will contain a beautiful beach (it's Hawaii! Duh!), rich-people suburbs, some business buildings and a forest-ish park with nice forestfires

Hmmm. Just a spontaneous thought, how is the toxic cloud made? This event could be modified to work as a tornado instead.
Else, you could make the tornado as a rampaging civilian that shoots everything. Make it shoot everything that's close (instant hit, high firerate etc.) and then you should make him escape the earlier determined escape path. Then, somehow, make the event NOT fail when he reaches his goal and despawns, just make the event-objectives to treat all casualties etc.
Replace the criminals model with one that looks like a tornado and you should be done.
I have no idea whether this'll work, but it's sure worth a shot!

That is not going to be necessary. I have a fully updated windows copy and no problems whatsoever.
Where did you get the game from?
There have been some problems with some codecs. Uninstall any unneeded codecs! Quote form Pyrothijs: "Samsung PC studio, Nokia PC software, Magixx, Sony pc guide, ffdshow, Halli Media Splitter."
Also. Check that the nvidia control panel (or similar) is set to standard settings for this game. Don't force the antialiasing up etc.. Standard settings!

Also make sure you delete the mod and redownload it.

Try to lower the resolution. I don't know how to do that on em3 though.

1. Run as admin (rightclick the icon and choose run as admin)
2. Reinstall game
Have you installed any new codecs or programs like Ovi suite or played around in Nvidia Control panel (or similar)?

Wait. Hold on a second. I didn't notice it earlier, but suddenly I noticed that that is NOT a volvo v70. That is a xc 70 (higher ground clearance, offroad-ish bodykit and such), which narrows down the search significantly.
Xc70 is only used by 2 UK forces (or that's what i found).
One possibility is Essex Airport ARV, but since that one has loads of stickers and extra markings on the side, it isn't met police's.
The second possibility, and my final answer is:
Lothian & Borders Police, Road Policing in Scotland, UK.
It popped up in a search for "volvo xc70 police".

Well, you mustn't ask that. It's against the rules of the forum. However, if we ignore that we don't even know the answer to your question. The team is busy and we can't give you any estimates. The NoMod team does intend to finish and release v2 eventually, we just don't know when.
