i class a mod as dead if they stop work before any version/beta comes out so there4 this mod isnt dead because the mod is out and its an amazing mod, the forum might be dead but not the mod

raf have a beer on creating a awsome mod the only 2 things i could say is i PERSONALY find it quite tricky with out being able to remove the roof ( im guessing because of the vents thats abit of a problem for removeing the roofs) and the second thing is it would be alot more fun with more units and areas to practice e.g
a pile of rubble for rescue1 to practice and barrels for hazmat ect but as i said this is AMAZING -
Update!
thats part of my skin which i will be useing in mod im working on, it will be aprechiated if it is changed ''the technical rescue unit''
-

Okay, assuming you want a basic mod, no complicated scripts, or fancy new maps or anything, just basics, let's do a time breakdown.
A great modeller can do roll out roughly 1 model a day, UV and everything, if that's their focus. Assuming they spend 8 hours working. That's from one poly to in game.
Assuming your basic mod has what, fifth models (which is a conservative estimate) that's 400 hours.
Include another 16 for map design and setup. Another 16 for scripts making stations work and whatnot, you're looking at roughly another 32 hours. Now finishing the mod, that's lighting, making it all run right, etc, can take say another 24 hours.
For those keeping score, it's now at 456. Heh, I didn't even try that. Assuming you don't pay for the downloading and compiling of scripts that is necessary to make a mod now, I mean the free to use scripts we all are used to that's a lot of dough.
Here minimum wage is $10 an hour, usually for unskilled labour. However this is a generally skilled job, and given the nature of skills required, for one person to do this, you're looking at closer to $20 or more an hour. So cheaply done, it's be $9120, and given the modder quit their job, or took a hiatus to do this, they could work 6 days a week, at 8 hours a day. You'd be looking at close to 10 weeks before you'd have a playable mod.
So here's my offer, for $14,000 I'll start the bidding of the job at hand. I value my skills at above average, and you always bid higher than what you're willing to bottom at, because you need to ensure you get the job at an affordable rate for you. Also, just to be clear, that $14,000 is quoted for 2.5 month completion date, 50 models, basic map, and no new scripts written. Finishing included. Any adjustments will be extra.
Now, if my point wasn't clear enough, go learn some basic skills yourself, ask for help on how to do things, and try your own hand. It'll save you a few thousand dollars and you can have your own mod then. But you can't afford to buy your own mod.
newfoundking you sir are a legend you deserve a medal

this mod is really cool, but i have a question, how can i resupply the fire trucks that are out of water?
get a hose and attach it from a hydrant to the engine

I think there's a similar mod in progress:)- http://forum.emergency-planet.com/topic/18549-us-coast-guard-mod/page-2#entry264563
ohhhh i never saw this thread thanks
-
whats the latest with the mod? (not asking for a release date)
-
i think this is the right section for this post if not sorry XD
possibly using hoppahs mission map (oilrig on fire) do a little village next to a USCG station (United States Coast Guard) and have a few more water incidents , using the la mod map turn it into a warzone and create new missions like vip escort etc

South Yorkshire, so where abouts is it being mainly based?
I spend a lot of my time in Sheffield and currently live in West Yorkshire so this mod is actually the closest anyone's created thus far.
Good look with it but you're going to need to learn the skills. Posting skins is ok but I think people would prefer to see them on the models

you're right tbh so due to not knowing much about modding i am not takeing part in this mod so for now i am going to learn how to mod and hopefully i will start a mod in the future, hope you all understand
