Me and my buddy are wanting to play Multiplayer, we can not join for some reason, we are even using Hamachi to try and connect to a multiplayer game. Can someone please assist us?

i try and play a mod on em4 but the mod icon is a green wrench i click on the mod and it pops up saying em4.exe has stopped, i have the mod in my mod folder, my game is from steam, LA mod, brooklyn mod, and harbor city mod is all i have, please help
