  1. For people having problems with graphics it is mostly because of software limited issues. I have a Radeon 290x. I lag with this mod. It is because of the amount of lights. Lights are great but in a mod lighting is an art form. If the modern would decrease the amount of radiation and polygons that the lights create with the coronal then it would help. In general if you go over 100 coronal or lights on a model it will lag the game.

  2. So i have been thinking of this. I noticed since hoppah released his mod for public use, there sprouted alot of new mods. The majority use the la mod models. There are a few where they use their own they made but the majority use models from other people or other mods. Now i want to know what you all think about this. In my opinion i wish more people would make the effort to use new models and learn. Its not like making scripts which is pointless. There is only a few ways to make a script but you could have hundreds of different models. Plus it is what you see and what you interact with the majority of the game. I feel it also helps you immerse in the mod. Why should i play a mod that just uses la models and the la map when i can iust play the la mod? What do you all think?

  3. So I created an Open house. Walls, floor, roof, etc. I added each of them into their own respective folders in the mod file. I made a prototype ingame in the Open Houses area. I edited the prototype and everything inside of it. I loaded up the game again the other day and it said it was missing the prototype I created for the open house. Upon further investigation the prototype seems to disappear everytime I close the editor and open it up. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

  4. Basically with the editor, yes it can be confusing but once it is used a bit it will allow modders to change way more options. I played around with it for a little bit and I found that creating lights(yes you can do it) and changing things on vehicles is much easier and a hell of a lot faster. Plus for the lights there is even a little option to change the color by using a color palete instead of messing with values.

  5. This is not his official statement but I have been told from very reliable sources that he is done with modding pretty much. He is finishing an unannounced project with his friends on here and then he is done

  6. Hey all. I personally use a copy of 3ds max to model, but UV mapping is a nightmare. I found a program finally other than zmodeler that allows us to UV map with ease. It is called Ultimate Unrwap 3d pro. It is sthe same price as zmodeler and is way easier to use. I have been playing with it for about an hour and I have already made a full texture, which used to take me about 5 hours.

  7. Just save your model as OBJ file - every common 3d program should be able to handle this format. Then take your model-file, drag and drop it into the editor and the editor will transform it automatically into MESH files. The textures support normal, bump and specular mapping. Forget Zmodeler and all the other tools - you won't need them anymore.

So I the OBJ file will be able to handle the UV mapping I give it?
