Did you start the updater with administrator rights?

The mod does not work for me, im running 911-First Responders, I AM launching through the ELS Berlin shortcut, the shortcut then says the mod is upto date and i start the game...
Once loaded its like:
Mine looks the same =). That IS the ERS Main menu. Just click on ERS Berlin and start the first or second mission.

For all the guys who have the ERS main menu in normal mode
DO NOT LAUNCH YOUR EMERGENCY LIKE YOU DID BEFORE.
START EM VIA THE ERS LAUNCHER WHETHER YOU WANT TO PLAY ERS OR NOT.
Choose between ERS Berlin and Emergency 4 standard version there!!

It should work with all versions of Emergency including 911FR

Dear Community,
after a long period of waiting, we are now ready! We publish the community version of ERS Berlin today. We received a lot of feedback and fair comments after showing a first playable version of our modification on four game stations from 5. till. 12. June 2010 at the Interschutz in Leipzig. In the last few month a lot of work was done to achieve an attractive and as much as possible bug free version for the community release. On September 24. 2010 a limited beta test was started, which revealed a lot of bugs that we fixed afterwards. I will use this place to thank again all beta testers for the invested work! After some debugging sessions in the last few days our Updater and load balance system was finished and tested positive, so that we are ready to rumble.

The Updater carries about the download and installation of our modification and keeps it up-to-date. The necessary steps should be self-explanatory

Representative for the whole ERS team I want to thank all involved people, that made this modification possible! Certainly I have to appreciate the team members themselves, which immolated a lot of leisure time for this project and made it that, what it is today.

Yeah...but he also says that there may not be a workaround for some strange assignment error in the engine :/
The problem seems to be that EM4 can only handle a limited amount of prototypes loaded at the same time.
In ERS we pushed it to the limit - so sometimes when you play long enough and call too many units the game crashes :-(.
There is still quite allot of vehicles to come guys and a good few scripts and more equipment.. This will still be a little while. The beta still has at least 30 cars left to add.
No. Not every vehicle will be added to the game. We already have too many prototypes in game. Some vehicles are planned only for missions (there will be no missions in 1.0 )

Yeah..the freeplay mode is completely new and based on a MissionScript like in RTS.

At intershuzts i think they said that it will be out within 3 months of then. Did they mean beta or not?

Yes, for a large group of people. Basically everyone who wants to and has the technical understanding to work with our beta tools. Everyone who wants to be a beta tester has to apply and then gets access to an internal forum with further information and downloads.

Okay, let's go through this step by step:
1. Download the setup.
2. Run the setup, you do NOT need to install this in your Emergency / 911 game folder, just let it install where it wants to.
3. Once that's done, run the "ERS starten" program. You find this either on your desktop, start menu or under C:/program files/ERS Berlin. A prompt will open, where you can select either ERS Berlin, or regular Emergency 4. It will tell you that the mod hasn't been downloaded yet, and ask you if you want to download it.
4. Wait for the download to finish.
5a. If you're running EM4, you can now click "Start Game" in the same prompt used to download it.
5b: If you're using 911: FR, it seems that this won't work. Start the game the normal way, then go to "Mods" and activate it like any other mod.

General tips and tricks:
- Vehicles can be towed by the police. Just select a police officer and click on the vehicle.
- You can dispatch units either with the button or by clicking on a free area anywhere on the map with the left mouse button.
- The "shift" key changes the priority of some commands. For example it helps you picking up the valve and entering the DLK.
- You can also transport uninjured people in the RTW.
- If you don`t manage it to finish an event look for objects or persons on the map that have to be transported.
- Rediricting the traffic works best on streets with multiple lanes in each direction. The end of the redirection should be near the orignal path of the cars redirected. Othewise they will delete themselves.
- The stations Tiergarten and Mitte (BF, FF) arrive at first on the scene in most areas of the map.
- In ERS Berlin you have only a limited amount of water and air. Keep that in mind!
- When a homicide occurs it is really important to secure evidence. Especially weapons!
- When confronted with a hazmat situation try first to find the source of contamination and seal it.
- The doctors car automatically escorts the ambulance to the nearest hospital. Just enter the RTW with the doctor and then send both units home with the "Back to Base" button.
- Animals can be transported in the KLEF. Firemen can pick up dead animals.
- In the mod directory XML/bfreeplay.xml you can find a file where you can change the frequency of events, the ingame time and the weather.

Have you checked the unit.xml file for the boat?
The line "missions value" should contain any mission in which you want to use the boat.

No. SW stands for the german word "Sonderwagen", which means special vehicle and is a type of armored personnal carrier from the german police forces.
Nice submod btw.

How about changing the actual red ambulance to this one?
Only some little model and skin changes would be needed.

That's interesting! Is that mod already out? Or is it possible to download the script what makes that possible? I need to test that by myself
I think the mod uses this script:

But it has some bugs. Civil cars near an emergency vehicle try to drive to a position on the right in front of the car (vector). If this position is on the sidewalk everything looks good and works well. But for example if this position is behind a crash barrier the civil car will search a position, where it can get behind the crash barrier and drive that way. It looks unrealistic. Also some civil cars get stuck in objects on the sidewalk and can´t keep on driving.

Hoppah, did you ever plan to convert some of the em3 la mod missions to em4 ?
Ground texture & scripts (apart from some small changes) should work in EM 4
I loved the "protect the president" mission

I've suggested them before but here are my major suggestions in one place:
-replace boat unit with a Swift Water Rescue truck(either with the boat on top or on a trailer, using the script. Of course would require a new boat too)
- replace the crane with a heavy rescue ( the back of the unit does rotate so it would be like the crane with the boom facing backward)
- USFS firefighters in hotshot gear
-LAX firefighters in ARFF gear
-Specialized hazmat firefighters(decon/ medical/ and fire control, maybe different protection level suits, and SWAT in hazmat gear?)
-Firefighters in water rescue gear which can move fast on land and swim out to rescue but not dive (would look a lot like USAR firefighters...probably not possible)
-A reset script for the trailers behind the fire station
I really like the idea of putting heavy rescue 56 in the mod.

I personally thing the yellow faun crane doesn´t fit in the LA mod.
I also propose to give swat units the possibility to drop down from helicopter.
I have already made a script for it (which can be downloaded on my homepage and does not have the bug with the THW bag). So it would not be much work to bring that feature in the la mod.
