Switching Civilian Vehicles?

So i did some searching.... but havent really found an answer. I was wondering.... if it is possible to switch the model files of vehicles... for example. I would like to take a red ford f-350 pickup, and put it in place of the battalion chiefs vehicle as like a POV chiefs unit. I tried... but all i got was the original model file, but it was blank.

You will need to copy the model and the texture and reskin the F350 to the battalion chief markings.

Then you can overwrite the model for the battalion chief vehicle (back it up though) and in the editor you will have to edit wheels, lights and probably put a lightbar on it aswell.
