Take the freeplaybase deluxe file (freeplaybase_d.xml) in the spec folder and rename/copy it as the multiplayer base file (freeplaybase_mp.xml).

Or simply look at the file, find the getaway car, and copy those codes into the multiplayer base file.

While you have the base file open, you might as well punch in how many of each vehicle you want so you don't have to purchase in game.

no.. i start the game.. in Los Angeles Mod and i can't buy cars...

i need to buy the plane or another vechile and i can't... i have this problem in Deluxe freeplay

Go into the spec folder in the LA Mod folder and find the freeplaybase_d.xml file and open it in notepad and change the number of cars that you start out with to the amount you want. For example, find the plane and change it from a 0 to 2 and then you will have 2 planes when you play. Save the file and then start up the game and your ready!

I changed the file to give me 5 of everything.

Pick up my Cfg file in the download database, that should fix it

I would like to pool everyone's creative talent to produce a great addition to E4 in the form of a Washington DC complete mod.

My vision is most of the local law enforcement departments such as:

DC Police (local area law enforement)

Capital Police (protects congressional buildings and congressmen and staff)

Federal Protective Service (a branch of Homeland Security to protect federal buildings and some other areas)

Secret Service (presidential security)

For fire/ems I so far have researched:

DC FD/EMS

Any other input on agencies appreciated (without getting too nick picking)

My skills are best used skinning so modelers are appreciated. Both car and buildings.

Of course some of the common vehicles are needed that are already floating about I'm sure such as Crown Vics, vans, and ambulances.

Any pictures of DC vehicles needed as well as I have a hard time finding good ones. Please list the agency in the picture if you post any.

I think missions based in DC would be fun to play out with endless ideas I'm sure everyone has.

I will edit this first post frequently as the mod evolves with important information.

im confused. ive downloaded the LA Mod 1.1.

Everything works fine exept that i see no police, Firestation, or hospital in free play, its just the ordinarie Freeplay with the new cars and commands..

Have the stations been released yet or it will be on the 1.2?

I see lots of ppl posting about the stations so im confused..

I have the latest patch installed, its the FR version.

stations will be in v1.2 when it is released.

thanks very much for that twolow v interesting set of files. do you think a script could be written whereby different events are caused by the users descretion. for example if you want a bank robbery then you can make it happen. there is all the timings in there, so i think maybe it could be possible, what do you think?

It might be possible with some scripting but I wouldn't know where to start.

The file your looking for is called freeplay parameters and its in the /E4/Specs/ folder.

And yes you can make certain things happen more and have others happen less or have them not happen at all.

Yes, with certain files modified, same way we have been playing with deluxe freeplay map in multiplayer.

In freeplay,

1. I've gotten a call to find a missing person

2. Send rescue dog to find them

3. Send EMS who then reveils the person is dead

4. which sparks a new homicide event

...then what?

My game did the same exact thing, middle of playing then poof, desktop.

I had to update my video drivers. Solved the problem.

I think the buttons are gifs or some such image file and not text over a gif of a button.

Make sense?

So in short, you would have to make new images of the buttons with English text.

Are there objects around them and they are wedged and stuck or are they out in the open and just will not move?

PC with no internet? I didn't think it existed. Take a picture and send it to me....I've never seen one before!

And are you using E4 Deluxe?

If so, it already has all the patches so your set.
