  1. I'm good until I get to step 4. I dont see what needs to be changed in step 4 on my control panel. I checked with NVIDIA and I have the most up to date driver etc... I wish I could show a picture of my display but I dont know how to insert picture on this forum

Hi Dyson and Raf, has a solution been found for the NVIDIA graphics card issue? Raf you responded that you would be looking into it. This was back in september, if something was posted my apologies. I havent been around for awhile.

  2. Nvidia graphics fix post #1

  3. Any progress on the patch ? I'm still waiting for it since too many people is bugged with the mod. I'm not try to complaining about the mod but the mod looks great,It's a smart idea when Dyson and Raf resized the map so more people can play the mod with any problem. Luckily, I'm one of them. However, after about 2-3 mins, the mod always CTD to desktop for no reason. I'm using Nvida but dunno why it's crashing like that. I hope there will be a solution at the end for everyone to use and enjoy the mod.

Same thing here. I can play the mod for about 2-3 minutes then it crashes to desktop. I also have a NVIDIA graphics card. It's killing me, this mod looks so good for the minute or two I could use it.

  4. You've had a CTD on a version that hasn't been released yet... sorry what was your point again? :WTF:

Sorry was there a patch that was later released? Maybe thats what I was getting confused. I wasn't trying to make a point, just looking for an answer to the question I asked in regards to Raf's post. I dont have an Intel, but is my NVIDIA not up to par?

  5. Ignore if you are able to play the mod, and reply if you are not able to play the mod (just the CTD issue) and your graphics card so we can make sure!

    To check your graphics card:

1 Go to the start menu

2 Choose control panel on the right side

    3 Go to device manager

    4 Select display adapters

5 If your graphics card reads "Intel" your mod will CTD in V1 and V2

6 If your graphics card reads anythin

g else you should be able to run the mod. (Speed depends on your graphics card's quality)

We apologize for the inconvenience, but the sheer detail in the mod is too much for an intel graphics card. V1 and V2 have shown to crash intel graphics cards. Solutions are to either wait for V2 standard (which will be really crappy lol) or get a new graphics card. We apologize

I've had CTD on both versions, really havent gotten to play the mod at all. Checked mine, I have the NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430. What do you think?

  6. I'm sorry to hear about this. I was really looking forward to playing this mod. It really looked great. Unfortunately I was one of the ones having difficulty getting it going. Looks like well all just have to wait for further updates to the NYC Mod.

Going forward I really wish people could learn from the creators of the NYC Mod. Here's a mod that was released as more of a surprise, there was no anticipation, nagging for release dates, no preasure for release and all and all a solid mod without any critical bugs was released. And once it was released any information on future updates to the mod have been held close to the chest. As a result the NYC forum has been quite quiet and there has been very little nagging. I really think this is the smart way of doing things. Although its nice to see how a mod is coming along I think releasing such info only puts more stress on the modding team from the forum community. My thoughts are not meant to be a criticism of the Mannhattan Mod team but if they are taken as such please take them to be nothing more but constructive.

  7. Have minimum PC requirements been posted for this mod? I know someone else asked earlier but I did not see a response. The times I can actually get the mod to load it up it doesnt last more then two minutes before CTD. This is what my computer is running....

    My OS: is Windows 7

Processor: AMD Athlon II X2 2.4Ghz

    Memory 599GB free of 683GB

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

Dyson, can you tell me what you think in regards to minumum requirements? If my computer is not up to par for the mod I will need to upgrade it, if its fine I'll just wait for new patches.

  9. Dyson,

I'm one of the ones who cant even get the mod to load. I have the 911FR version, It appears I downloaded the mod sucessfully. I go to start 911FR, click on mods, And the Mannhattan Mod is listed, so I click the Mannhattan Mod to load and it takes forever. It never actually ends up loading. I hit CTRL,ALT,DEL and hit the task manager and everytime I do so it says the game is unresponsive or something to that effect. So I've yet to even try the mod.

  10. Video looks great. One small question though? I must of heard "hey baby" at least 20 times, and I did not watch the video in its entirety as I kept skipping ahead. I'm assuming this is from the street background noise. Will there be a way for users to muffle that without loosing the rest of the street noise? I think its going to drive some people nuts to hear the same sentence repeatedly. The rest of the street noise is awesome and seems very authentic. Everything else looks great too. Anxious for when this comes out, keep up the great work!

  11. here's the work in progress engine, hand made with care from b2bomber, still got the ladder and rescue 1 to come :D

By the name of image file (engine 10) I'm going to assume that will be FDNY Engine 10. If so, I'm glad to see that not all the FDNY apparatus in the game is going to be modeled on the newest trucks out on the streets. Glad to see there will be an older seagrave with older lights etc. Gives more realistic reality.

  12. I came across these videos on FDNY on youtube. It appears they are made by FDNY. The short series are called FDNY Close Up and they are a four part series on Engines, Ladders, Rescues and EMS. They go into specifics on what each member of the division does as well as what equipment is used and carried on the trucks. This might spawn some ideas for this mod. If not at the very least I think most will find it informative and interesting.

  13. I know you guys have like. a thousand suggestions for missions, but we also need to know what other models need to be done.

I'll bite. Here are some ideas. Some may or may not be workable. But you asked for ideas. Here are some.

Perhaps a sattelite truck? Scroll towards bottom of link.

    http://www.fdnytrucks.com/files/html/brooklyn/e207.htm

Or maybe a brush unit if there will be any wooded areas on the map

    http://www.fdnytrucks.com/files/html/queens/e266.htm

ATRV unit as a possible replacement to the small LA County Rescue truck

    http://www.fdnytrucks.com/files/html/queens/e329.htm

Or possibly a foam truck. Do we have a hazmat yet? (Images for both on same link)

  14. Update:

    Reworked skins and lightbars

    Hi Dyson,

Not sure if it matters or not. The NYPD has little if any marked Chevrolet vans. With NYPD being the large department that it is I am no way saying they may not exist. However the Ford vans pictured below (1st newer model, 2nd older) are the ones primarily used by the NYPD. Again not sure if it matters, the Chevrolet looks good anyways but I just wanted to let you know.

  15. First locate where your game is installed, you'll see a folder called 911 - First Responders

Next, look in Mods\Los Angeles Mod v1.5\Specs and you'll see the file called fp_params_endless.xml

If you are still unable to locate it, I suggest using windows ctrl-f feature in the my computer window.

    Mike

I'm having similar problems with 1.9. Its just call after call with no break, I cant play realistically like I would like. Mike I did try what you said to do for the person previously asking. I could find all the files you said to edit. But I cant edit them. The file opens in xml format. What can I do? Thanks

  16. Mike this is a great idea. How do I do it? Also did you happen to see my post (#88) on March 1st? Its listed below. Was looking for your input on the reality of it currently. Thanks

I'm a bit swamped at the moment, so please pardon the abruptness of this suggestion, but have any of you who want a second station considered just moving the entry point for the apparatus to the south/east side? The main issue, as I see it, is that the entry point for fire apparatus is very close to the in-game fire station. By moving the entry point to the far side, you effectively gain a 2nd station via the F1 key and HQ button and no additional complicated scripting and no complaining over what goes in there.
