  1. Hello,

As you know the Coastal Rescue mod is a very watched topic. Recently the mods creator Dosed Monkey has become incredibly busy with his day job (the British Navy). I have worked with Dosed Monkey on the Coastal Rescue Mod and I would very much like to see the modification finished. We have the advantage of having a wealth of content already finished - we just need to tie up the loose ends package it up and release it.

So we need Skinners, Modellers and Mappers. Once we have a team we will carry out an audit of what we have.

Please reply here if you wish to apply.

    Cheer,

    JPH.

  2. This will be common knowledge for some, when you are operating emergency vehicles there are some extra controls you can use on the left hand side. Simply click on the ">>>" and some extra buttons will appear on the top left of your screen. These control extra lights, sirens etc...

I didn't realise this until today!

  3. yeah i haven't found anything for them to do yet or had a call that would need them.

There is an incident near the Brandenburg Gate. Very similar event to the normal game even the same contaminated container.

After the forensics check the body it should show on the map the person who committed the murder. You will have to arrest him/her and then it's cleared.

Also there is a murder weapon, when I had this event it was a sniper rifle. Get your scenes of crime to pick this up also.

  4. Yes nice easy response for this missions, you don't need to shoot the dog - you simply remove it with "KLEF Light Equipment Truck" - get one of your fire fighters to grab the dog, you are then able to deposit the dog in the back of the KLEF.

If its too late for the dog, then simply follow the same procedure - but with the corpse.

  5. does anyone else have the problem where vehicles get stuck on the bridge? and people clumping up before the bridge?

Hello, Yes I had this very same issue. I reported it a few pages back. I think if you click over the other side of the bridge as opposed to clicking on the bridge itself the vehicles should move.

Another bug, if you are going to do the incident "Bike Accident", do not attempt to clear the bike from the road. If the incident ends when one of your fire fighters is dragging the bike the game will crash to desktop when they drops the bike.

  6. Right there is a slight bug, you can trick the fire fighters into not picking up their cutting equipment.

There is also a bug when you are using a hose with a splitter, it wouldn't let me detach the final hose - I think this was because I removed the fire engine from the water source first.

  7. One of the best mods for the game.

The features are good and once you get used to the acronyms for the dispatch you will be fine.

The training should be expanded to cover some of the incidents that are being asked about on the forum (the dog, CSI, etc...)

The biggest problem with the game is it crashes on a regular basis, on a very similar rate to Winterberg.

The first crash was related to the fire hydrant system and the second was related to extracting a casualty from a car.

There is also path finding issues for getting to the far right hand side of the map with a fire engine - they end up on the left side of the river wondering how to cross....

There is a bridge that you cannot manually navigate across - a fire caused a few people to get injured on it - it was a right pain getting the units their.

  8. Nice skin. To be honest, not going to be doing too much skinning for a while, until after thsi versions release, currently just mostly coding and then also some mapping. Thankyou and will keep you in mind though.

Sorry JPH, will upload the mod mate, i just got hijacked by the navy to do a few weeks i nthe english channel, back for one week before Falklands, will do as much as I can and then allow JPH to continue with the mod if he wishes whilst I am away.

Package it up once you have finished and I will have a tinker and see how far we can get it.

    Cheers,

    JPH

  9. 655 m = 0.406 miles = 0.356 nautical miles.

    so,

    429025 square meters

    0.165 square miles

    0.127 square nm

EDIT: The numbers 8192 pixels per map side and 12.5 pixels per meter come from the editor manual

P.S. And no, I am not converting this to Fahrenheit for you rolleyes.gif

    Hello,

Sorry to be a massive pain - the coastal rescue mod is based on Weymouth - I want to draw out a square on a map of weymouth and then convert this complete square into Emergency 4. When I plot 0.127 miles on the map its an incredibly small area...

    Many Thanks,

    JPH

  10. What are you happy for people to use? - I read the inital part of the thread that stated you where happy for people to use your scripts.

Ideally I would have a fire station - that is a different model (obviously this would be created by myself) - but that would need your return to base script - call fire engine script.

I would also like to use the Patrol script and the MP5 script for the armed response unit.

  11. Hello Hoopah,

I worked with Dosed Monkey on the coastal rescue mod before he disappeared. There are a whole heap of models that have been completed(In-Game) - but I would like to get an Alpha version to get some more interest in the mod and hopefully attract dosed monkey back.

I would very much like to use a few of your scripts to get the mod to the stage we can get an alpha release together - would this be acceptable?

    Many Thanks,

    JPH

  12. In Weymouth I have never seen a Fire Bike, although saying that Police Bikes seem to be getting less and less common in Dorset as a whole (you only seem to see them escorting abnormal loads). Also there is a Police BMW that Patrols neigbouring Wareham/Bovington/Swanage.

The paramedic bike isn't amazingly common either. Infact I cannot recall seing a single one in Weymouth itself, but a freind reassured me they do have them.
