The pic of that Aerodynic Fury on the LAPD Facebook group is amazing, reminds me of the single picture of CHP Monacos with Aerodynics I found on ebay some time ago. (from a seller named "vintagecop", he also has some other rare CHP related pics, like one of a Mustang with a MX7000)

I believe this shows another unmarked early 90s LAPD Crown Vic, antenna setup and light setup matches as they didn't add the additional square blue flasher until the 94' Caprice iirc.

The tail light and body shape is a giveaway for it being a Caprice. The front left reflector light disqualifies the AMC and the Impala. The reason I estimate 70's is due to the can lights. Have you come across this?

I have been doing testing with the prototype setup ingame. I've decided to go with having an incomplete lineup of leaving behind vanilla assets. The main reason for this decision is due to the prototypes. It would be impractical for me to make 2 versions of this mod, one with many color variants, and another with unique vehicles per prototype.

I can share some good news: all civilian vehicles (so far) implemented into the game have wheels. The next few days will be finishing up textures and models for the remaining 4 vehicles I've not completed, and to start the civilian lighting on the cars.

Not too much else, various unmarked LASD vehicles appear in gang documentaries from the 80s and 90s but lack of quality and good shots in general makes a lot of the footage kinda useless, most of them came equipped with red spotlights it seems but I'm unsure about the rear lighting, there is something behind the rear window of the Caprice featured in the second pic, but I can't identify if that's even a light...

I don't know how accurate they are but there are some replicas of unmarked LASD Novas around, one was feature in Jay Leno's Garage,
would probably still fit for a 80s setting:

I don't know what I need this for, but a lot of other agencies still run these trucks to this day. Maybe I can have this as the LAPD bomb squad truck but I don't see how this can be achieved in normal freeplay.

I don't count this as being part of the traffic set, rather as a dev assset for other modders who need this truck.

#24: In real life, this car nearly killed GM. l hope to make this look good in the traffic set.

LASD used a weird red beacon with integrated steady burn and rear flasher, it even appears in a COPS episode.

LAXPD apparently wasn't a thing until 1984, they were named "Airport Security Bureau" before that.
This is the only pre 1986 law enforcement looking vehicle operating on LAX I could find, from a blurry pic taken in 1978, seems to be equipped with a Twinsonic:

About those pics of 80s slicktop vehicles from earlier: those are really puzzling me, I only heard that they started using them after the 1992 riots to improve public relations, replacing the unmarked vehicles previously used for gang enforcement and other duties.
