Oh, Well I ended up buying EM 2016 for £4.99. Must be becasue I owned EM5. But why sell it defferently if its also an update in EM5? Confusing but nvm.

Think of it like a DLC for the people that already own the EM5, but also as a whole new game with old and new conetent for the people that don't..

Just change it to 1 and see if it works. 

@Ropie58 Just start the game and look bottom right, if I remember correctly, the version is written there.. Should say 2.0.1

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Promotion Software GmbH\EMERGENCY 5

Replace USERNAME with what yours is..

Open the "emergency_5_settings" file and try changing the resolution from there..

I think that we all have to wait for the Germans to lead the way.. If they make a huge insane epic mod, maybe people such as Hoppah and others will get into EM5 modding too..

Can you turn your Anti-Virus and Firewall off, and then try playing the game?..  If the game works, turn either the Firewall or the Anti-Virus back on to see which one of them is causing the game to crash and try again..

Is there a faster way to have this file downloaded? I mean, it seems I have to wait for 1000 seconds (= 16,66 minutes) on http://www.4shared.com until the download would start. And, should I choose for the so called "Priority Download" I'll be forced to accept a lot of spam  . Also, once downloaded, could the file just be installed by the EM5 Mod Installer? Meaning:  

 

1. Open the Emergency 5 Launcher.

2. Go to "Modifications".

3. Drag and drop the .zip in Modifications.

4. Select the mod as "active"

Yes, the police car lights are way, way, way too bright

Did you open that folder to see whats inside before doing what you did?.. 

Open "Project Reality Light -- v4.0" folder, and then open "VERSION 4.0" folder, and there you will have "prefab" and "sfx_sirens" folder.. Those two are what you need..

I replaced the sirens but the new ones are not playing.. I'm playing the campaign though, so does it only work on freeplay?. EDIT: Nevermind, sounds started working when a Large Scale mission happened.. 

Also, police car lights up it´s surrounding way too much.. Maybe it´s a bug..

Is it something you need to tow away to complete the mission? What if you just leave it there, wont it go away by itself?.

Is the SDK automatically installed through steam ?

I actually do have a 144hz monitor and I do also have an AMD card, so i´ll try looking in AMDs "control panel"..  

I´m sure you´d love playing Los Angeles mod, which is on Emergency 4 though.. Mods will be making this game so much better when they start coming out.. In the mean time, if you´re interested, 911: First Responders (Emergency 4) is cheap on steam.. Buy it, and download LA mod from here.. Watch gameplays of the mod on YouTube..

I feel like that most of the performance issues people are having could be fixed/improved if V-sync were to be turned off.. I think its forced to be ON which is kind of stupid.. Why not give us a setting in the graphics menu..

I really do believe that turning off V-sync would make this game more playable that it is at the moment..

Maybe a stupid question, but is it possible to port mods from EM4 to EM5 now when there is full mod support for EM5?.. Reason Im asking is because, is it worth continuing this mod on EM4 instead of EM5?.

So the patch for the Steam version isn't out yet, right? But if looking at the patch notes, it looks like it finally is worth buying the game, or?

If I may ask guys, what kind of % usage do you have on the CPU and GPU while playing the game?.. Is the game utilizing all the CPU cores?.. Is the FPS low even though the % usage for the CPU and GPU isn't maxed out?..
