I still can't update my game properly.

This is irritating me beyond belief because we brought it to their attention and they still haven't bothered to fix the patcher.

Joh... the more they update the game, the more they break the game...

Has anyone confirmed that this patch actually has fixed ANY of the problems we posted in 100 different threads on this forum?

Yeah, 64 BIT and 32 BIT OS'

Call of Duty: Ghosts is the ONLY freaking game I own that MUST have a 64 BIT OS.

So I had to ultimately get a Windows 7 Ultimate 64 BIT - lucky for me just before I purchased it, I found someone who wanted to swop.

It's so bloody stupid.

I checked now... you can't seem to do it, I never really tried.

Maybe make it 800x600 and see what happens with the game.

DDR2 is more expensive because it's old(er) - DDR3 would be cheap because it's new(er).

Anything older is always more expensive because it's more rare.

Don't you have Craigslist or Gumtree... all you need to do is try test the memory (before buying) for 30 minutes (requires a bit of IT know how) or so but even so, that has it's worries (scams, hardware going faulty later) but the positive is that you can find bargains.

Yes. I'm an EMT (BLS) in California. I work for one of the largest ambulance companies in the country. I run emergency calls every now and then but these days I mostly just transfer people from facility to facility since I am a part time employee.

Oh boy dude... I'd hate to do that... I can't DEAL doing IHT's all day (Inter hospital transfers)

In South Africa, we have a 'division' for those type of calls though, IMO, they are lazy buggers! We call the service "HealthNET" or "Health Non Emergency Transfers" and the vehicles are called "Tango's" (Basically doing IHT's of walking patients etc)

Whom here is actually employed/volunteer in EMS? (Be it Fire services, Ambulance or Police)

Me personally, I'm a "Intermediate" (ILS/AEA) in the Department of Health: EMS in Cape Town, South Africa - we are also known as "Metro EMS" but it seems they want to 'drop' the "Metro" part.

See attached photos for what our uniform, ambulances look like and our badge.

With that said, I'm not sure how it is in the rest of the world but MEMORY currently is cheap... Don't just buy 4GB, buy 8GB.  2x 4GB chips or 4x 2GB chips... Go big or go home.

I turned my firewall off completely and tried to test, didn't work.

My sorrows continue but with that said, at least the 'torrent' of 1.2.0 worked and my game is at 1.2.0

Just an update;

I downloaded the .torrent file but needed WinRAR to extract the file, 7zip (any version) said the file was corrupt.

The game loads faster (for me at least) and says it's version 1.2.0.

Changing resolution from the one it auto selected to 1090 etc resulted in a crash but I manually loaded it again and it loaded fine.

When loading the game - it tells me there is a newer update but I still can't get it.

If the game loads and plays, can't he just try put everything on LOW?

That should at least work.

Try that... put all the graphics and the lowest settings possible, even the lowest resolution, close as many applications prior to loading the game as well.

If it works, up the resolution ONLY, then to the next one, next next if it doesn't crash, try up the settings 1 at a time.

I know games all say they need MINIMUM 4GB sometimes, but mostly, they never (or I've never seen) them use more than 2GB, even COD: Ghosts never used more than 3GB.

That's why I use torrents mate I download games using torrent before purchasing so that I can see if it runs good on my PC or if its "broken".

I used to do this way back when, I don't anymore... But sometimes...

Anyways... Support replied and they suggested I try update the game via the launcher - which as far as I can see, is not possible.

Now awaiting another reply.

However, i am trying the torrent above to get the 1.2.0 update.

Hopefully, with that update, the game should at least run and fix many problems including the 'login' error and maybe some others.

Anyway you can try install it to your main drives and not your external hard drive?

If you have space issues, can't you uninstall other games you don't play - we all have to do this at some point - try and it give us feedback.

You tried using the Heavy Tow Truck? (Think that's what it's called ingame, i'm at work atm).

Big blue mobile crane, under the engineers tab.

Well, it's not exactly a link to the solution... 

The game is fun, has it's moments, but as with many, I don't think this game was tested - don't even get me started on the 1.2.1 patch, because that was clearly NOT tested for the RETAIL guys!

Being in EMS myself, I find it interesting that when dealing with a patient that was in a traffic accident they managed to do the animations for 'putting up a drip or IV" but couldn't be bothered about doing the animation for putting on a c-collar or trauma board.

It's the little things that irritate me about this game, but it's still a fun game, minus all the millions of bugs I find all the time.

It's not like this company is NEW to this... they've been doing this type of game for ages, they need to get the basics right.

We (or at least I) don't expect complete and utter realism, but joh, at least try to get it as right as possible.

Good example I want to mention is Grey's Anatomy tv series, the first couple of seasons, people were okay with all the stupid things they did, then people started to complain (especially about them defibbing the wrong bloody rhythm!) and they had to start getting things right - I expect the same thing from this game (by now!)

Yes, 1.2 and 1.2.1 are two different patches. My post above has the changelog information for patch 1.2.1.

We need another 'version' of the available patch. The one on the site doesn't work properly - there are lots of threads about it, it doesn't extract properly.

Can't someone please make a 'working' version?

I'm sitting with a unpatched RETAIL version that is buggy as hell.

If you not following those threads - you can't extract the 1.2.1 patch because inside the folders are 'funny' character sub folders, so extracting it to the game folder doesn't overwrite correct folders or files.

I've e-mailed the support guys but they haven't bothered to reply to the e-mail for 2 days and I even sent screenshots on the issues at hand.

Question is, did you guys not TEST the patch? Did QA not test correctly or did you only test the STEAM version because I have the RETAIL version like many others.

Okay, so as it has been established, I got this game for my girlfriend who is a Paramedic.
She is enjoying E5 but has found lots of problems with it (the game is a unpatched RETAIL version - unpatched because I can't patch it, I've posted a thread about that) but suffice to say;

On the 3rd or 4th mission, I can't figure it out which one it is.

It starts with [9:30] A new festival is starting in the city today.

Anyways, the 2nd or 3rd sub mission, there is a SOS call where 'concrete falls on a guy' and the girlfriend says she can't find a way to get the concrete off the guy.

Anyone else have this problem?

The online login screen remembers your email but it needs your username - you need to remove the email and put in your username. It is a pain.

Tried that, doesn't work. Keeps saying it's wrong.

Apparently according to the games support guys, the latest patch (1.2.1) fixes this issue.

Download the patch from a torrent website. I got the torrent from a cached version of thepiratebay: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:https://thepiratebay.se/torrent/11657201/Emergency_5_Update_1.2.0-HazardousKing&gws_rd=cr&ei=G2uHVP_eDoGjgwSv2ID4Dg

 

Instructions after download: open download folder, extract files to the same folder it is in, then copy and paste the extracted files into the em5 installation folder. Make sure to overwrite the old files with the new ones.

 

Hope this helps, it worked for me. However, I didnt see any performance fixed in the patch

Anyone comment on if the patch works on the RETAIL version, because it doesn't... or not for me and alot of other people.
