  1. i hope vehicles dont go through each other in the full game

They said themselves this was still a development stage of the game, a lot has probably been changed since. I think in an interview somewhere they said something's were disabled due to them still being in development... if I am remembering correctly of course.

I don't think any effects are used, although I think like you said RangerDog they're just taking up close images of the game - a view that most of the time players don't tend to see, there are many screenshots showing the view that's more standard, the game looks as beautiful. With the graphics being phenomenally improved on their new engine, perspective of the game looks to be closer and at a better angle, being able to see and witness many more details.

  2. This is ridiculous there's so much contradictory information.... do they mean there's no deluxe edition in boxed form? if so I'm just going to buy it off the dutch website and if need be again on steam.

It'd be really nice if they'd straighten out the information on the release, beautiful game that will most likely be my favourite game for a long long time but its getting a little stupid how muddled release information is... c'mon Deep Silver...

  3. I read somewhere, probably during that overview of the editor, that the stuff will be in .MESH. That said I believe there is a option in Zmod, or one of them, to export in that type. I would say the major doubts that remain with the future EM5 modding is to what extent it will be moddable. There is no word on anything about scripting or making new scripts which is a very important part of the the emergency game modding. Its going to be a wait and see with it and it will be a lot of trial and error. I remember seeing a post somewhere about modding questions where it said tillers in EM4 is not possible. Well Hoppah did that one. Same with things such as tower ladders working etc etc. It won't be quick progress unless everything is able to be ported, which I doubt

In an interview they stated that EM5 will come with an SDK, allowing EM5 to have better scripting capabilities then any other previous Emergency Game. Its safe to say that modding in EM5 is as good and most likely better then EM4. Sixteen Tons have released numerous information, all be it all over the place, stating the ability to mod vehicles, peds, create maps, an SDK for scripts, create custom events - they've given us an all new from scratch editor.

I also doubt things will be able to be ported, though I personally am happy that this isn't possible, the game engine is way too different and improved to move Emergency 4 models to Emergency 5. This should be a new era for emergency 5, new mods with the extreme detail and capabilities that Emergency 5 offers.

  4. Hey, I was joking actually, sorry for not stating that clearly) However, I don't doubt that the modding community had influenced this progress a lot.

BTW, I don't see any blood on the picture... Maybe all those people have light injuries?

Of course they have, they've influenced a lot, and not just the modding community, just the community in total have likely influenced many decisions in this game.

Also its been stated that the reason there are two of a few vehicles is because some of the images are in alpha stage when they were using the models from EM2012 for testing purposes.

  5. Ow-wow-ow

So there are barriers for crowd control! Though they could be just a mission prop...

The stretcher looks like one from NY mod lol, hope they gave the credit to the modding community ^_^

I wonder how the big rigs are towed. Maybe we'll see a large towtruck like that:

I highly doubt that they used the actual New York mod model, it would have been too low poly and yes, it looks similar but its not exactly the same. It looks similar because they are both based on stryker stretchers, plus Sixteen Tons always thank and acknowledge their large modding community.

As for the images, it seems there's two types of tow truck, could be a third for large trucks who knows. As well as there's two types of police car. The paramedic behind the doctors car LOOKS like he's got that girl in a wheelchair, could just be perspective. The tactical police officers look great, especially like the guy in the right hand corner who looks like he's aiming and moving toward a suspect. Also you can see what seems to be a tactical SUV for the drone there as well. Graphics are stunning, models of the vehicles, people, buildings, props all look absolutely beautiful, animations shadows and effects look brilliant, I absolutely love the trees. All round a monumental step up from Emergency 4 and really a game that this series community deserved, I can say that this is most likely my game of the year and probably for the new few years running.

    Well done Sixteen Tons.

  6. Looking forward to two games this year which is Farming Simulator 2015 and Emergency 5, both being published by Koch Media if I understand correctly. I'm looking to buy the Emergency 5 Deluxe Edition but you don't seem to be able to pre-order it anywhere in English translation.

Does any have any info from the publishers about an english pre-order date for EM5 Deluxe? I've tried emailing them a few times but they seem to not want to disclose anything about it.
