Yea same here my game says it been updated to 1.1.1 but it still plays the same and theres no way they compressed that to 15mb so we got gipped here.....
are you sure? Mine still says 1.1.0 in the details section of the exe file
-
Just got a small 15 mb update on steam, have no idea what it's for though.
yeah that wasnt the major update since the game version is still at 1.1.0

Brooklyn is the latest - therefore most stable.

Also I've finally got round to playing Em5, after trying it out I'm announcing that we have no plans to mod for that game. All our modding efforts will remain with Em4. The reasons for this are clear when you play the game, terrible frame rate, similar basic mechanics and unable to run on any setting above low (which looks no different to em4's graphics) and my machines can both run GTA4 and similar intensive programs. We hope some of you will still stick with Em4 but we'll see how Em4's fan base stands over time and decide on future projects based of this.
Will your opinion change if the new patch fixes the FPS issues? The editor is amazing.

steam will automatically update to the new version. that patch is only if you bought it from a store in europe.

I honestly feel cheated. I work full time security and can pay for some luxury as well as volunteer fire fighter. At the same time the game seems so plain like MikeyPI said, We have paid for a game that seems to be more like an alpha. I thought they would have taken the la mod/Manhattan mod, since they are the most game changing, and ran with the concept. I hope the devs come through and I sure as hell believe they will, being such a big studio. The price really kills me though. It is more like paying for early access. I mean the police have MINIMAL decals, the EMS have NONE. It just feels unfinished and un pollished. Praying for the best.
Steve
They did take ideas from mods tho, just not american mods. The first mission is from a random freeplay even in the ERS Berlin mod :

2 Updates were released for the retail copy of the game today. Anyone with that copy confirm if these updates fix the bugs that were making the game unplayable?
-
Sadly, most of the screenshots were bull-shots. The vehicles and graphics are non existent in the game apart from a a few screenshots which show what the actual game looks like.

10fps. I get 50 in GTA IV, gg
I think your forgetting that Rockstar games made gta iv with 100 million dollars. Sixteen tons is not a big company. they dont have the funding to create a flawless game. Emergency 5 was probably made with only 1 million dollars. And especially with piracy so huge in 2014, its even harder.

I've been looking at the base game files and have come across a file called emergency_5_settings.json. I opened it an had a look at the settings. Down at the very bottom is a variable called "FpsLimitation": "60", I changed the fps limitation to 120 and on reloading the game I found the game to lag considerably less. I also noticed that my RAM usage went from using all my RAM installed which is 8GB to only using 5GB.
wait that means that its capped to 60???? what were the development team thinking. . also i cant find that file, do you mind telling me the exact folder?

why do the lights look so purple lool

20-30 fps on my system:
Intel core i7 4770 3.4ghz
AMD R9 280X 3GB
8GB Ram 1600 mhz.
It seems to be a memory leak issue since i have been able to achieve 80 fps in the corner of the map when there is not much going on.

according to em forum they are working on a patch and expect it to be out by next week. kinda disappointing that I wont be able to play on the weekend.
-
the automated siren they put in is actually pretty good. it sounds only when around vehicles. in europe they dont keep the siren on all the time like america.
-
there's also a bug where buildings disappear if you get to close to them. not sure if its actually a bug or a feature but if it is a feature then there should be an option to turn it off.

im getting about 20-40 fps on an AMD R9 280x on ultra

I found a video of someone in europe playing. it seems the game isnt the best right now and hopefully a future patch addresses the issues. could be why steam is holding off on the release for NA.
here it is : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3raR__eU8RI (edit : dead link )

Not really interested in Emergency 5 to be honest. For one it looks incredibly unoptimized for one, I mean for one of the minimum system requirements you need a 1gb graphic card for godsake 2gb for recommended. .. Only the people who own a decent gaming rig will be able to play this... Pretty much like GTA IV. Yeah it looks nice and has some improvements, but I think I will stick with EM4.
keep in mind this game is coming 8 years after em4. most games on the market require 1gb gpu's at least, well atleast most games on steam do. This is also the first time they are reaching out this much for any release so new users are going to want a good looking game. Most people have 1gb or 2gb gpus. If they didnt make any innovations or improvements and kept the game like em4, they would make no sales. Its 2014
*edit*
To beastybill,
If you want a good gaming pc for around 500 dollars/pounds. Here is a good site that lets you choose each part and adds it up at the end : http://pcpartpicker.com/
It has each components listed by price so you can choose decent parts and get a decent gaming rig that can run em5 at medium for around 500.

Does this mean that the disk version will require a Stem account to install and play the game?
Probably not. They are using their own DRM to host their multiplayer and servers at http://www.emergency5.de/
Steam is just another way of acquiring the game most likely for american users.

Deep silver has finally listed EM5 On steam.
Pre order it here : http://store.steampowered.com/app/328140/
Its also currently on sale.

I was exaggerating but if I really wanted a system that can handle anything it'll cost me 4k
Eh, not really. I built my i7 4770, AMD R9 280x, 8gb ram, 120 gb ssd, 1tb HDD, 750 watt psu for around 1300.
-
Pretty demanding specs. Makes me excited that the game will be really, really realistic.
-
Deep silver doesnt publish Emergency 4/3/2/1/. They only publish the 2012/13/14 series and the upcoming Emergency 5.

For some reason the mod installer is bugged out for the steam version. Any plans on a patch to fix it?

hmm. well they fixed the camera follow bug where the vehicle would stutter. fps seems to be slightly better ( got about 10 extra frames on ultra ). the building clipping is still a problem though.
