Hello and sorry for my late appearance here.

No, we are not planning on releasing older games on steam.

As stated above, it would cost us more money to rework everything, than we would get out of it.

Meaning, it is a simple financial decision, even if we would like to bring all our games to steam.

This is obviously not an "Ask me Anything" thread from your side, but now that you're here I have to ask; Are the fire hoses movement or physics if you'd like, improved from Em4?

 

If you ask me thats one of the biggest visual draw backs that em4 has.

Do you mean that he hoses should move through the water pressure?

I do not think that such a detail will be implemented, but we can put that on the list for EMERGENCYs to come

Just make sure the game does not require online activation or anything like that please.

Currently I do not see a reason for the game not working without steam.

But if you buy the game with steam you might have to use steam as well. But we still have a good amount of time before discussing these aspects

Do you know if they are going to release Emergency 5 on steam? 

Considering the fact that EM2012 - 2014 is on steam, it is very likely that EMERGENCY 5 will be on steam as well. 

Will this be released at the same time as the game releases?

We are planning to release the edtior with the game, yes.

Or at least a year, you know, it will be a nail in the grave of em4 modding

True, haha.  I didn't even buy that game to be honest.

 

@Turk_SeSo, I believe I can speak for the whole community here by telling you to give EM4 a shot and seeing what mods like the Manhattan and LA Mods bring to the game, as the developers of these mods have implemented many new features into the game that developers should be aware of in case you want to incorporate these features into future EM4 games. 

I have EM4 beside me and I am past my first steps already. Do not worry, as a Battlefield 2 veteran I played several Mods, therefore I do know the value and the hard time modders put into their work.

And believe me if I tell you, that the team is fed up listening to exactly these words
