  1. First thing. Sorry for the digging up this thread from ancient excavation.

    Second thing is a question.

Maybe someone made a license since January?

    And

Lafferty, I send you a PM about QSO on Echolink.

Yeah, I apologize for not getting back sooner. I have been really busy at work, and going to my EMT-B class

  2. It does cost. You have to get a ham radio technician book. Prices on the book can vary, and you have to pay to take the written test, which when I took it it cost me about 10 dollars. I would suggest looking around in your area for a Ham Radio Club and you can get to know them, go to some of their meetings, and they would be able to tell you more in depth what its like. And the length of time it takes really depends on you. It took me about a month to fully study the book a few times and was able to pass the test the first time.

  3. neither can our ambulances, and they have lights and sirens.... do you really think someone in an AMBULANCE on the way to rescue someone, will take the time to get out and write the drivers who aren't getting out of the way a ticket? C'mon man... be at least A LITTLE real here.

At least here if you don't yield for an ambulance, they can get your plate number and the police will give you a ticket for failure to yield for an emergency vehicle.
